Catered Dinner

The manager does an excellent job at maintaining such a beautiful establishment. Upon arriving, I was ecstatic to see the elegant set up of the dining hall. The food was excellent with delicious variety. It was a wonderful experience for one of my first experiences of Portuguese cuisine. Awesome job to the manager, servers, chefs, and cleaning staff for their hard work. I will surely be coming back for another visit next time I’m in Portugal!

Deliver less than promised

Pousada left to be desired, the room had mold, no desk and room to put clothes. The bathroom was very small and the window gave way to a room that stored material. We had to ask for assistance for shower 2x, run out of water and did not warm. They were asked and answered us promptly. The bed was good. The pool was pretty dirty too and the breakfast reasonable. The wonderful location.

Bad experience. Dirty rooms and not corresponding to the value and paid category

The guesthouse left to be desired and much. I went with my family and one of the rooms had no window (neither in the room nor in the bathroom) - we were not informed of this at any time when we made the reservation. The other room we stayed was called “luxury category”, we paid R$ per day and the minimum we expected was cleaning. Unfortunately we found a room in a deplorable situation, yellowed edredom, dirty walls (even with dead mosquitoes clogged), shower and shower with hair, dirty box, dirty frigobar and the worst: sheets with a stain of blood. In addition to the dirt, the dryer was burned and the bathroom doors did not close (which made our stay very difficult since an electronic music festival was taking place 50m from the guesthouse and the noise was extremely loud). The cupcakes of the manha coffee were some amores, simple coffee but with all the basics. The guesthouse staff were super friendly and sought after and tried to help us, however, as the situation was really unsustainable, what we wanted was the refund of our money. We are still waiting for an answer from the owner regarding this situation.

Good for a stay to tour chapada Guimaraes

We stayed at the Pousada Villa Guimaraes for one night while on tour with Gaspare Tours. Igor had booked us a room with a balcony on the second floor, which was very nice. We enjoyed their pool and included breakfast.
