WONDERFUL!!!

The guesthouse is very cozy!!! The look is beautiful. Fernando is the personification of sympathy!!! :) Just getting to know him, the trip is worth it. Juliana very polite and helpful!!! The room is huge, comfortable and clean!!! We want to go back, and taking our little one! :)

Excellent accommodation

A quiet, clean place with an amazing breakfast. Nice pool, nice climate.

Very pleasant

Pleasant guesthouse, with few rooms, in a location that is not very easy to get to but is worth it. It is inside a condominium, in the upper part, with a beautiful view of the valley. The host is super friendly and attentive, and offers, in addition to breakfast, the possibility of meals.

Great view, lovely host

My stay at Quinta do Alto was a very enjoyable experience. The rooms were everything they needed to be and everything was at a level of quality you should be able to expect from a hotel/b&b.
I wasn't overwhelmed by the amount of choice regarding the breakfast, but there was enough of it and the products were all fresh and delicious.
They also offer meals during the other times of the day and what we had was of great quality.
Now, the location. The place is located between petropolis and theresopolis and both places are about half an hour away. The poussada is located near the top of a mountain and the view if beautiful, especially when lying near the swimming pool. Being so high however, means it was kind of hard to reach the first time though, but that problem dissapears quickly. Don't expect to reach this car without a car though, so foreigners should absolutely have a rental car if they want to stay here.
Finally, the host. The fact that i will spend a paragraph writing about him should say enough, i guess. He was very helpful and was part of the reason i was so fond of this place. He would always strike up a conversation and was a very good french speaker (i can't judge his english though).
I highly recommend the poussada if you want a calm stay near petro- and theresopolis.

Charming and Elegant !

This place is unbelievable. Fernando, Valeria y Maria make you feel instantly relaxed and like at home. Great taste in the architecture and interior decoration. My room had a jacuzzi tub and a walking closet! The room was impeccable. The view from the suite and dinning room is aerial and panoramic over the mountains and valley. Very clear skies at night and total silence.
Fernando's cocktails and Valeria and Maria food excellent and a different home made cake every breakfast.
A place to remember and go back!
