Fantastic place to stay
Everything at BK is built and designed/decorated with lots of love and creativity. The staff is always very friendly and the girls in the kitchen will make a huge omelette for breakfast or scrumbled eggs… you can have fresh fruits and juices, cake, musli… sandwich. More or less the same every day, but nice to enjoy while watching the water and kiters.
Tea and Coffee is there all day (self-service) and for dinner they usually offer three dishes with different sides to choose from (Fish, Filet Mignon, Chicken Milanese, Pasta etc.) or Pizza.
The bar offers nice cocktails – caipirinha, caipiroska, caipifrutta and much more.
All prices are very fair – dinner, minibar, drinks...
The beach boys are helping you with everything from advice to pumping your kite and even connecting your bar if you want – starting, landing, holding you for safety if necessary etc. and they are really friendly - always a smile on their face.
The manager of the kite station – Gaston - can help you with good advice, will take you to another spot by truck five minutes away whenever you want when the tight is low and is managing the station very well.
You won’t need much cash, as they will put everything on your bill from transfer to room service, massage etc. and you can pay by credit card at the end.
Ale and his family and crew make you feel very welcome. Everyone is really relaxed… and we think it is probably the nicest places to stay at the Ilha. If you need any help to find other spots and places to stay or organize a transfer etc. – Ale will help you!

Paradise!
- all day coffee (it's a small thing, but so nice to just be able to help yourself to some great Brazilian coffee whenever you want)
- little trampoline with kite bar for practicing handle passes; the kids loved this
- free pick up if you kite downwind to kite in the larger bay at low tide when the water right in front of the hotel is too shallow
- really reasonable price for the guided downwind
- outstanding beach service.
On this last point, our family has been doing exclusively kite vacations for the past 4 years. We have kited in Zanzibar, Cabarete, Sardinia, Sicily, Greece and more, as well as other Brazilian spots. I have never come across such great service. You will be spoiled. Jonas, Julius and Renato, supervised by Gaston, will pump your kite, set up your lines and even get your board out of the lockers. By the way, best designed kite storage EVER. One will launch your kite for you while another holds your harness and checks that everything is OK. This was great as my husband and I could go out kiting, know that our kids could come out on the water whenever they wanted in all safety.
The water is flat with some choppiness at high tide. Bring booties just in case as there are some sharp seashells at low tide. Definitely do not miss the downwind on the river if you can. Great massage by Camila who also doubles as the receptionist.
I can definitely recommend this place!
