great location and comfy

Amazing location, room was clean and everything advertised was there. Wifi was good allowing us to binge watch a new show whilst on our trip and the room was well insulated and the beds comfy enabling a great nights sleep.

DO NOT BOOK DIRECT - read this review - it may prevent you getting ripped off.

I reserved x3 apartment for 6 nights totalling £1,280. The full payment was taken from me at the time of booking.
Unfortunately Bansko did not have snow forecast for the dates we were due to travel so I cancelled the trip within the free cancelation period. The property DID NOT REFUND MY MONEY, nor did they respond to any of the emails I sent requesting the funds to be returned.
Luckily I didn't book direct and used Booking.com, after 3 months I finally received my money back. The money came from Booking.com as part of their guarantee and not the accommodation them selves.
Be very careful if booking this place to stay and for heavens sake, don't book direct!

Beware of this shady place - not worth your time nor money

I've stayed at this place in January 2021, and was so disappointed that I cut my trup short. The location is superb, just less than 1 minute walking to the Gondola ski lift. This is the best advantage about this place, but this is all about it has to offer. All other impression with this place are negative. For just a little bit more money I could have stayed at a premium place that would shuttle me to the ski lift. My experience with this property is negative due to the following reasons 1) Customer service - what's that? The owner was extremely rude and condescending to me. Prior coming to this place, I wanted to change my dates, the owner did nothing and said I will be stayed in full. Finally, I've arrived and stayed 2 days shorter, he would not refund even a penny. I got surcharged for a parking, although nobody told me about the cost. 2) The room I got was filthy. Switches in the room were sticky, dust uncleaned, there was peanuts on the floor - I had to wipe up everything with alcohol. Did not feel sanitized nor safe. 3) The beds are uncomfortable, springs are broken, they definitely need to be replaced. 4) The drain in the shower is clothed, when you shower there is a pool of water for about half an hour there. 5) No amenities whatsoever, roof windows. 6) They cancelled my booking on booking.com (which I've used to book this place) such that they would not pay commission. Due to this I'm not able to leave feedback on booking.com, and I was advised to leave it here instead. For the money paid (and I've stayed at other places in Bansko), this is absolutely NOT worth my money. Very disappointed and will NOT stay again here. BEWARE!

Frustrating wifi and check-in process mars otherwise great location and price

First, the positive: Guest Rooms Granat has a great location if you're interested interested in skiing/snowboarding. It is about 100 meters from the gondola in Bankso--you can roll out of bed just a few minutes before the gondola opens and be close to the front of the line. There are plenty of ski shops nearby, as well as restaurants. The price is pretty darn affordable. The rooms are decently clean, though I did find prescription medicine under one bed. And the hostess was friendly, once we found her.
Now, the frustrations: The wifi constantly goes in and out, even in mid-use. It is great when it is functioning, but it would seemingly switch on and off at random. The check-in process was also kind of annoying. We had to search for a while to find the hostess, and eventually we had to call to find her. This was at peak check-in time, too. It is hard to keep the rooms at a cool temperature, even with overnight lows just above freezing. You could keep your windows open, but then you'd hear the nearby bars' music late into the night. Finally, the beds are about as firm of mattresses as I have found.

Great location and price

This is a basic guest house which is immaculately cleaned and maintained. The rooms are adequate and have a fridge, kettle and wetroom. Towels changed daily.
But the best thing is its location. Around the corner from the gondola and near plenty of bars and restaurants. We hired from the ski rental underneath the guest rooms (10% discount) which meant we could drop off and pick up our skis and boots easily. Yes it could be a little noisy with the Happy End bar next door but this usually quietened down by bedtime.
All in all a great place to stay and good value for money
