Fantastic
Best 3 star hotel I have been too. Good food. Rooms have a fridge. Perfect location for either sunny beach or neezibar.

Aktinia Hotel- Lovely stay.
The Aktinia hotel. Sunny Beach, Bulgaria. Sunday 21st June to Friday 26th.
Booked with Jet2 last minute and made sure I read the reviews before booking.
It was myself and 16yr old son. A Twin room with a balcony and two single beds.
The hotel:
Receptionist Marina upon check in was lovely, we arrived too late for a drink but having also missed the dinner service we were provided with a meal package of two sandwiches, bottled water and an apple. The water was a godsend as it was still quite hot upon arrival.
Room:
Although basic was clean with very effective air-conditioning, a wall mounted TV(channel 6 which is AMC is an English language channel along with a wildlife channel), wardrobe and bedside tables, the balcony was suitable for the two of us.
We moved the two beds apart as they were together like a double and put one of the bedside tables between them. Bathroom is a wet room and the shower was pretty good in all fairness easy to control the temperature.
Hotel is in a relatively quiet area so nights weren't spoilt by today loud tourists, the nightlife of sunny beach being around 2miles away.
The hotel is so clean, cleaning staff are constantly cleaning, toilets are very clean.
Pool:
The pool is quite small with a limited number of sunbeds and the water is absolutely freezing...lol
I prefer going to the beach for the breeze but lots of guests used the pool area daily.
Bars.
There are two one by the pool and the other in reception area both the female bar tenders by reception Diane and Meli (not sure if that is the correct name) are lovely, always smiling and polite.
Empty glasses and used ashtrays are moved and changed regularly.
All inclusive drinks include soft drink, juices, water, beer, red/white/rose wine and some spirits along with cocktails (list of which is on the bar).
Beach:
it's around 500m to the beach (just a short walk behind the hotel).
Beware of the sunbeds too the left as you get to the beach as they are owned by a bar and charge 40 euros for 2 beds a parasol and towels.
Sun beds to the right (blue and white) are 5 euros each item (beds parasol and table) free after 530/6pm. Further along the beach is an area for lying on towels . Along with a section of beach where you can sun bathe in your birthday suit if that floats your boat.
The sea isn't cold and shallow for around 70m before getting deeper.
Food:
Breakfast consisted of a selection of foods including Porridge (nice) , fruits, pancakes, yoghurts, breads, fried and scrambled eggs, bacon (ham like but perfectly fine), sausages (real meat sausages and hot dog style as well).
Lunch and dinners service I was very impressed with, a selection of hot food (with some local dishes) along with pizzas, soups and a form of griddled meat, pork chops, kebabs, very nice paprika sausages and salad selections. Veal and veg in sauce was stunning and so tender. Pork stroganoff and rice was lovely.
Some reviewers have commented on the temperature of the food which is a fair comment as unless you get there at the start of service or they top a dish up (absolutely steaming hot) the food is of an adequate temperature too eat. It's buffet service good so it's not cooked for individual order.
Griddled meats are cooked in front of you so piping hot.
I don't eat desserts but they had a selection of cakes and fruits, they looked nice but I didn't try any.
The restaurant is open for snacks mid afternoon for 2hrs, these include pizzas, mozerella sticks, ice creams and more.
We enjoyed our stay at the Aktinia hotel (it's a little gem) I will definitely return and recommend to others. The hotel was really clean.
The room was more than adequate, bar and service very good, food I was impressed with (nice local dishes). It's far enough away from sunny beach main strip to be quiet of an evening.
Local bus service to Nessebar or sunny beach is 1 euro per person and regular if you do travel by bus be aware that some bus stops are not actually for the bus but for free transport to the aqua parks. The normal bus will not stop at them.
My only criticism has been mentioned by other reviewers and that is that there is only the one coffee machine in the restaurant area and at breakfast there can be a bit of a queue. However both bars also have coffee machines so getting a coffee was not a big issue for me.
Overall:
We had a lovely stay, the hotel is very nice, very clean, rooms are suitable, bar and service excellent, food was very nice indeed and there location is quiet with a short walk to the beach.
The Aktinia Hotel had everything we needed for a delightful stay.
Well done to all management and staff and thank you for making our stay so nice and making us feel welcomed.

The Best All-Inclusive Food EVER!!!!!!!!!
We had a briliant stay at this hotel ,being our first visit to Bugaria, but not our first experience of all inclusive holidays.
We checked in very late but was given sandwiches, fruit and a bottle of water,which was very appreciated. My room was comfortable, had great air con, and was very quet due to being carpeted, as was the corridor, which ment that no noise could be heard , even next door appartment was quiet due to quite thick walls. Also the doors do not slam and the lift is a distance from the rooms.
Now the food. I spoke to Dimitri, the restaurant manager who is very proud of the standards of foods and the presentation. A very charming and hard working gentleman. I can honestly say that I have never eaten such tasty delicious food in any of the all inclusives ive stayed at and there has been very many. The choice is outstanding every meal 12 choices of hot food, an excellent salad bar and then the live grill cooking. The roast lamb was so succulent and tasty Also loved the bread, the baguettes were warm and yummy and tasted home made. Anyone who cannot find a delicious meal here must eat in Michelin starred restaurants everyday! Every day at 3pm there is the most delicious ice creams served by the staff in a proper cone. You get two scoops of a choice of 6 flavours. My favourite was chocolate
and banana. There are also snacks on offer all afternoon, including sandwiches muffins as well as the usual burgers, chi8cken nuggets, sausages and chips.
The Animation team were great and all the children seemed to have great fun with all the activities on offer - darts, archery (soft), shuley, and some very fun games.
The hotel is only a few minutes walk across the beautiful sand dunes, which are protected by the government and crossed on a very solid boardwalk. Use the gate at the back of the pool and there are painted arrows showing the way. Very helpful. The Black Sea very, very warm, shallow and crystal clear and as with all the resort very clean, not one piece of litter to be seen. Great for children to safely have a paddle. The sand is very soft and white. Just beautiful.
The hotel is absolutely spotless and there is always a member of the cleaning team making sure all areas are clean, especially the terrace near the restaurant, and for this reason we were able to eat outdoors for every meal and there were no flies to be seen.
The manager of this hotel is very visible and approachable and can be seen actively getting job done and approaching guests to see if they are enjoying there holiday.
All the staff work very hard but the to guys behind the bar deserve a mention. Thank you both.

Family holiday
Close to the beach and town centre food was delicious expecially Sunday Mexican dinner a little minus for balcony in the room and the view is not very nice we could only see the roof ,staff was very nice and helpful room service excellent. We got everything what we expected.

Memorable stay.
We had a great time at Aktinia hotel.
A 3 star hotel with 5 star treatment. All the staff were incredible and very helpful. The rooms were clean, the food was good and varied and snacks were available throughout the day. The animation team worked hard to entertain both children and adults.
I had a birthday during our stay that was made memorable with a surprise that consisted of a procession of the waiting staff that had a cake with sparklers, party poppers, and a bottle of sparkling wine. Thank you again for a great holiday and hope to return soon. Mike & Suzy
