The best holiday, great hotel!
Been coming to Sunny Beach on and off for about 20yrs but stopped coming about 4yrs ago as hotels we went to were increasing awful.
Got recommended this hotel and decided to try again. Fantastic hotel and even better staff! Central but quiet, perfect location.
Rooms were spotlessly clean, small but uncrowded pool, lovely public areas.
Massive shout out to Ivo, Rachael, Jean and Maria. Brilliant staff that really made our holiday.
Fell in love with Bulgaria all over again and would return to this hotel in a heartbeat

Old but clean, receptionists who cannot speak English, do not fit in the reception.
Clean in the rooms and around the hotel, although everything has old standard in the rooms it was in good condition, everything is enough from the hotel is built so it is not to the current standard. Room service, cleaners were very good, they kept the rooms clean and handsome.
In the reception there was a good adult lady who did not speak English, we came late in the evening and was in the store and purchased water mm. When we were going to walk in the room with this before we were going for a walk in the city, we were stopped in the reception by this lady who could not speak English, she also had a man who also did not speak English, they started screaming to us when we came into the reception in a language we did not understand, they pointed to my daughter who was staying at the neighboring hotel and wanted her out of the hotel. It was a strange experience, my wife and the couple of friends who were there with us, and our daughter had to leave the hotel to wait, while I went up, in the room with what we were shopping at the store.
In the reception there was also a man and several ladies who spoke English, they were very friendly and were service-friendly..
The pool area around the pool is very worn, tiles are skewed and broken and it is easy and damage thorns on these. There was also a lot of Maur that crawled all over the pool.
Breakfast was simple and ok.

Perfect holiday
Very friendly staff and all spoke good English, room very clean every day and towels changed every 3days.location close to flower street but far enough away from late night partygoers.

Ivo the Bartender was fabulous
This is a very good hotel for the price and star rating. It's central enough without being in the middle of the mele of sunny beach.
The rooms are large and clean (albeit basic), with plenty of hot water and regular towel and sheet changes.
Without doubt I can say the reason the holiday was so good was because of the fabulous service received from Ivaylo the main barman.
He was super efficient, friendly and kind offering advice and tips about the area.
If it wasn't for Ivo, our rating would be 3 star. As the same cannot be said for the part time barman who was rude, lazy and arrogant.
We would go to the beach if he was behind the bar as the music was turned up very loud to suit him and he played songs on repeat constantly. One day he played one ABBA track 12 times! His attitude was terrible and he should never be employed in a customer facing role.
The main lady on reception was pleasant and suggested we leave our key when we left each evening (they are actual keys not key cards).
Breakfast was acceptable but very little variety. We recommend you take a travel kettle as that's the only time you will be able to grab a cuppa.
We would stay there again as it's a great little place for the price, just don't expect consistency in customer service across all the team!

Excellent!
Just come back from a 10 day stay at the Karlovo.
I had read negative reviews but decided to still go with it, many reviews spoke about how rude staff were.
We arrived around 10.45pm tried and in need of food, we were greeted by a very smiley receptionist, Rachel. She was so lovely and polite, in fact many of the staff were and the barman at the pool bar was great!
All though the hotel is a little dated, especially the carpets in the halls the hotel itself is spotlessly clean! Staff were in everyday tidy the room and making the beds and every 3 days came and changed the beds.
We were bed and breakfast and for a small hotel the food was excellent, we normally end up eating out a few mornings but this was everything we needed.

Is a great location, literally 7 minutes from the beach and about 10 minutes to flower street. Great if you like ice cream as there is a gelato shop bang opposite!
