Had issue with room on arrival. But Moong was beyond helpful and a very gracious and professional for rectifying issues. And we ended up in 2 bedroom suite which was perfect.
The standard rooms only have one chair so not great for sitting reading

Large pool was warm but clean yet the round pool was cool but green and slimy, it was cleaned somewhat on last day, not much shade by pool.
Also lack of pool towels available.

Staff Makes this Place
The staff was stellar, so kind and helpful. Check-in was amazing. We stayed in a one bedroom pool villa, nice view of the river. We were looking for a quiet place that was also pet friendly. We got lots of noise from music by the pool and kids screaming a lot.

Beautiful Pet Friendly Resort with Inconsistent Service
My husband and I chose Castle Bayview Resort because it is a pet-friendly resort. Upon arrival, we received a warm welcome from the reception team—everyone was very nice and helpful. Our room was spacious and offered a beautiful view. The resort itself is huge, well kept, and very peaceful, though a bit quiet.
We had dinner at the restaurant and the food was really good. The evening staff were friendly and professional. However, our breakfast experience the next morning was very disappointing. We were told our dog was not allowed in the restaurant, even though it was fine during dinner. I was seated at the patio area, but the morning staff were not very informative. I sat for quite a while without assistance and had to call for help myself. Breakfast was buffet-style, but most of the staff seemed disengaged, often on their phones, with little eye contact or effort to assist guests. The only person who was genuinely helpful was an older lady preparing food at the noodles station. (Overall breakfast experience was very unprofessional and unecceptable).
While the resort is beautiful and spacious, they frequently ran out of beverages listed on their menu, and we eventually had to order drinks through Grab Delivery instead.
Overall, Castle Bayview Resort has great potential and a lovely setting, but improvements in staff communication, consistency with pet policies, and service—especially during breakfast—would make the experience much better.

spent 2 nights there, 2 different days,
day 1: disaster,
met staff that was hardly proficient in English, check in, asked if room was not next to lift, denied, and the room was next to lift, ok, in between a small storage room, but since aircon was also noisy, lift was not to be heard [the next day reception addressed to it, yes they know that is next to lift, but another would have cost more! bad: guest asks if room is not next to lift, and they deny, knowing lift is around the corner]
dinner at the restaurant, simplest question not understood.
eat ok, but too expensive for bid.
day 2: it seems on the day English speaking staff in the house, communication was ok. the day before my wife called the hotel as I had my arrival, came from phnom penh, had not reported
she thought something had happened. on the phone, reception told her there was no guest by my name - fire on the roof, she thought something had happened.
the next day at the reception asked what was going on - the only answer of the receptionist, it wasn't me.
The bottom line is that English must be more available, and to excuse "I didn't do it" is indisputable.
