Equity issues
I unexpectedly needed a menstrual hygiene product and learned that, although the hotel provides complimentary razors and toothpaste, menstrual products are available only for purchase. I questioned why a basic hygiene necessity isn't treated the same way as other complimentary toiletries.
More troubling was the response from the front desk. I was polite and simply asked if she could provide one complimentary. I was told, essentially, “Either you come down and pay for one or not.” She then said “end of call” and hung up on me.
This isn't about the cost of a pad or tampon. It's about equitable treatment of basic hygiene needs and basic customer service. After years of regularly choosing this hotel, being hung up on for respectfully questioning this policy was extremely disappointing. I hope management addresses both the policy and how this interaction was handled.

Wonderful and CELIAC breakfast
All staff are friendly but the ABSOLUTE BEST is Edna! She is the hostess in the breakfast area. Well stocked, and a separate gluten free area!! Whoot! She knows what is where and has access to an ingredient book. As a celiac this was great and so very much appreciated. The breakfast area including Gluten Free should be the standard for all hotels!
