The hotel is going through some very positive upgrades
I stay there quite often and the new upgrades are a definite improvement

Noise and no security
There was a noise issue that was not resolved. Someone was playing electric guitar with an amp on the top level of the parkade and facing my 4th floor window. I tried to call down to the front desk on Thurs evening but the guy working was not answering. Finally I went down in person and he only texted security. 15 min later I went down again as there had been no change and it was impossible to rest. The front desk was still not answering the phone. He gave the number to offsite security as ther was no on-site security! They were not yet on the way and were offside. They said they would be 20 mins. They were half an hour. All in all I endured an hour of loud disruption and nothing was done. The lack of on-site security and the very lazy approach of the front desk not taking it seriously along with very slow security response gives me serious misgivings. It was completely unacceptable.

The bathroom door was extremely hard to close. Weird that there was no fridge or microwave in the room.

Prepaid Reservation Denied Due to Staff Miscommunication
I booked a prepaid reservation through Hotels.com for July 3–4 because of the hotel’s convenient downtown location within walking distance of the concert venue I was attending. Unfortunately, despite having a confirmed reservation, I was never able to check in.
Upon arrival, I was advised that a physical credit card was required for the damage deposit. After speaking with the front desk and the on-site manager, a credit card pre-authorization form was approved as an alternative. We left to attend the concert with the understanding that everything had been arranged and that we could return afterward to check into our room.
When we returned later that evening, another front desk agent advised they did not know how to process the pre-authorization form. After contacting the manager, we were told there was nothing they could do. No attempt was made to honor the approved arrangement, provide another solution, offer alternative accommodations, or issue a voucher for the prepaid stay.
I live with Multiple Sclerosis and intentionally booked a hotel close to the venue so I could rest after the concert. Being denied access to a room that had already been paid for caused unnecessary physical strain and stress.
While the location is excellent, the customer service, communication, and staff training were extremely disappointing. Guests should not receive conflicting information from different employees, especially after a manager has already approved an alternative payment method. Unfortunately, because I was denied check-in, I cannot comment on the room itself. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this property until these issues are addressed.

This was a one night stay downtown. For the price you cant beat it
The hotel is under renovation as its changed hands again....the good thing is the renovation looks great but the hotel still has its quirks.
Our room had nice comfy beds and a newly renovated bathroom with walk in shower...however the sink and mirror are still outside the bathroom and the fan is constantly on!
Friendly staff and an early check outweighed any issues!
