Lovely downtown view of Vancouver

A beautiful view and a quiet place to stay in North Vancouver. The breakfast was pretty decent. The house was kept very clean. The host received us even though we arrived at 12:30 am at night.
It was very close to Grouse Mountain and Capiliano Bridge.

Uncomfortable awkward experience

The house looks beautiful and so is the view, but they treat guests like kindergarten kids! For example heaven forbid you make any noise (even closing a door) or talk a tiny bit loudly the "owner" comes running and says "shoo shoo". Rather bizarre since we're all adults. I doubt that Middle Eastern man is even the owner to be honest. Then what was really disturbing he demanded my ID and took a photocopy. After the fact I realised this is definitely not common practice and was concerned. I asked him to delete it but he refused. He also informed me I had parked too close to his bushes in the driveway (untrue since very narrow driveway).
There's a lovely furnished common area with a view but nobody in it - since you have to whisper and be quiet as a mouse why would anyone who is on holiday feel comfortable even sitting there? Yes everything is clean as a whistle but it feels like a staged home and something fishy going on. Rooms are generally small. If you like a sterile environment (even with a great view) then maybe. I didn't feel welcome at all nor did myself or my partner enjoy our stay and good luck if you've paid for more than one night and want to leave, you'll never get your money back. Although I would never return.

Budget place

Didn’t realize we had shared bathrooms, no TV in room. It had lots of notes around what to do and what not to do. Was ok for one night, left w/o breakfast. If you are on a budget it works.

Good location, modest breakfast

Well located overlooking city. Rooms are of various sizes and are a mix of ensuite or shared bathrooms, so be clear when you book. Not far from Lonsdale Ave food precinct, there is a bus however better to have a car or Uber. Plently of street parking. We booked a room with breakfast included, that was a bit of a stretch, breakfast comprises a mix of cereals and bread/bagels if the owners have replenshed the stocks. What breakfast there is is also self serve. You can self cater as there is a full common area kitchen. Quite enjoyed the stay.

Worth repeating. Beautiful. Beautiful view.

Our first night in Vancouver. Just search. Just in a residential area. We should have known. Entrance is a bit difficult with the code that we received via Booking on the same day. However, you must be online. Otherwise fine. Big room. Super view. Excellent bathroom. Kitchen and living room were shared with other guests. Also fun sometimes.
Make your own breakfast. Coffee, fruit, bagels, cereal and milk are provided. Jacuzzi on the terrace with beautiful views over the bay, Vancouver and the ocean. Parking was fine.
Oh yes, shoes off at the front door.
