My stay (3 nights) at Auberge was very charming. The owners and staff were so friendly. My view of the frozen St. Lawrence was spectacular, where the beautiful church across the street was also a sight to see as the sun rose each morning. Each breakfast was delicious, as were the two dinners I had. I highly recommend the Auberge Le Four A Pain. Jonathan White (Maryland, USA).

Expensive for what you get
We stayed here 1 night in transit. Had booked this because there is little available in the area.
Seems to be an old auberge where quite nothing has been invested in renovation.
Rooms are not spacious.
Furnishings are very basic.
There is a restaurant at the auberge which is easy because there are few restaurants in the area.
Friendly service and friendly staff.
A spa is available which can be reserved for 20 minutes per room.
View of the river.
I liked the price a lot compared to other locations where you have a more spacious or nicely decorated room.

A beautiful room is not enough!
Very beautiful room, clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. The on-site restaurant is also a valuable asset.
We chose this inn primarily for two reasons: to enjoy a good spa after a 23 km run in the Charlevoix region and because of the excellent reviews we had read beforehand.
Unfortunately, the experience did not meet our expectations. Upon our arrival, we were informed that access to the spa is limited to 20 minutes per night, even though only two rooms were occupied. We were told that this is a government regulation, which seemed questionable to us.
We were also informed that these 20 minutes would be timed and that we would have to leave immediately once the time was up. As for a warm welcome, we will pass on that.
Another surprise: a fee of $40 per additional person is required when there are more than two occupants in a room. Finally, a tipping option appeared when we settled the room bill, which surprised us.
The staff seemed particularly rigid, especially the lady at the front desk. Despite the quality of the accommodation, we did not feel welcome. This is, in fact, in contradiction with the nice welcome message displayed on your website.
Unfortunately, we will not return and will not recommend this establishment.

votre réservation a été fait avec Booking vous avez recu la confirmation de leur part avec les prix incluant la personne supplémentaire sur votre courriel vous avez choisi une suite avec deux chambres pour le spa vous ne somme pas un centre thermal avec le personnels adéquats et les les recommandations par le gouvernement sont de 15 minutes par santé et services sociaux du Québec les recommandations sont affichés dans l auberge nous proposons 20 minutes inclus dans le prix de la chambre

The room was very efficient and clean. The view from our room was outstanding! Only minutes away from the base of Le Massif.

Overall a nice place and friendly staff. Hours for the hot tub were restrictive.
