Excellent stay in the heart of the village of Saint Donat!
The Saint-Donat Hotel is a wonderful discovery. The studio was impeccably clean, modern, and very well equipped with its kitchenette. The location is perfect: everything is within walking distance, from the beach at Parc des Pionniers to the village restaurants. The cedar spa and sauna are a true delight after a day outdoors. I recommend it without hesitation, and this is my 6th visit. I will return in July.

HOTEL ST-DONAT: A true must-visit haven of peace in Saint-Donat! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
If you are looking for THE place to stay in Saint-Donat, this is it and nowhere else. The Hotel St-Donat is an ultra-famous institution, and it is easy to see why everyone loves it and gives it a well-deserved 5 out of 5!
For my partner and me, it is a sacred rendezvous: we return every year, and the charm works every time. This place is a pure haven of peace, but with such a friendly and warm atmosphere. The comfort of the rooms, the incredible welcome, the impeccable cleanliness, and the perfect location... There is absolutely no comparison possible with other places in the area. It plays in a category of its own!
It has become our absolute favorite address, to the point that we recommend it to everyone. All the friends we have referred to the hotel now go there with their eyes closed. In short, a local treasure and an absolute must for truly unwinding and having a perfect stay, close to all the attractions! (Just a 3-minute walk from Boulangerie St-Donat and the cafés and restaurant terraces)

Extremely disappointing
Disappointing stay in one of the hotel studios. The place is clean, well maintained, freshly renovated (in the modern Ikea style), but there stop the merits of this place.
We cannot know if the rooms were well soundproofed, as we were practically the only ones in the establishment.
On the other hand, customer service is unprofessional or even courteous. The co-owner was completely defensive and the co-owner did not understand English or French well enough to understand our needs.
Essential basic items are missing (not enough toilet paper and the oven was not ready to use. If you heat something, put the oven at least 400 degrees, otherwise nothing heats up, and bring a baking sheet, as there is none).
If you mention a need or a lack (in a very polite way and with white gloves), you are answered in a gruff and arrogant way.
We requested a studio with air conditioning, but only received it on the 2nd night out of 2. A window machine (added while we were in the room) very noisy and not very efficient.
We didn't have access to the hot tub, because we had just changed the water, and the co-owner refused to raise the heat of the water to more than 80 degrees (he would have had 24 hours full to do it (a very small bath). The sauna was also closed.
Overall, beyond the appeal of the place, cared for in appearance, it is an unhospitable place, with scratchy and arrogant owners, where you feel guilty about existing, while the area, for its part, is charming.

Very clean, charming, has everything you need. In a great location.
Spent one night. Very modern. Wonderful decor. Clean. Priced right. Basics in the kitchen - fridge, microwave, coffee maker, tea, dishes.. 2 minute walk to the main park and lake, 5 minute walk to the main strip.
Exceeded my expectations.

Home away from home
My family of 5 adults and 1 toddler had an amazing time at the Auberge at the beginning of August 2018. We rented a two-bedroom apartment for 5 nights and it was so nice and clean, and big enough to accommodate of all us comfortably. The apartment had everything we needed from a hair dryer in the beautiful bathroom to cutlery, a stove-top oven, microwave and dishwasher in the immaculate kitchen. Honestly, we cannot wait to go back. The location is also perfect-just steps away from the Lake and minutes from stores and restaurants. The owners are also genuinely caring and paid attention to all of our concerns. The gorgeous backyard was a safe haven for my baby to run around and have fun without us having to run after him. Every morning we had breakfast in the calm and peace of the backyard and every afternoon, we had an amazing time in the hot tub. It was the perfect place to stay at.
