Great local hotel.

Great local hotel with excellent customer service. The Owner Franz has boundless energy and does everything he can to improve your stay. The rooms are dated and need some improvement but the experience is great. Franz has recently added a new breakfast area and provides and excellent start to your day.

Lunch and show

We enjoyed a 3 course lunch with wine (soft drinks available) and then a flamenco show, 2 dancers and 2 musicians. Excellent food and show and very friendly staff. The hotel had clean toilets too and a small lounge.

Friendly, personalised service.

This is a delightful Country hotel without pretension. We had a great stay here, nonetheless as the people are so lovely and friendly. Our first morning we were visisted at breakfast by a translator who proceeded to describe how to get to San Esteban winery, the Petroglyphs and Lake Parilla, which is adjacent to the Argentine border.
Our breakfast included instant coffee, yoghurt, cereal, pan with ham, cake and jam. We were offered more of everything but we needed no more. The restaurant we visited the second evening at their recommendation was excellent. We had a friendly reception at the winery.
There is wardrobe hanging space, a TV which we did not use and the wifi worked well. Our bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. Certainly there could be some improvements done to the bathrooms, but the price we paid was inexpensive and we felt happy and warmly welcome throughout our stay.
The location was convenient for us as we wished to head north from Santiago and we had had a long series of flights from Perth. We were very satisfied with our stay.

Seriously in need of some TLC

The people who run this place are lovely, but the place is so run down that it shouldn't be operating. Our room was shocking. It was located next to a swarm of bees and mosquitos, making the most of the stagnant water on the ground. The shower only had hot water if the basin tap was turned on first. The road traffic was clearly audible and the blinds didn't close properly. Breakfast was very basic. Not recommended.

Dear Sir:
Sorry you did not enjoy your stay in our hotel. Soloquisieramos explain the backwaters are made irrigation product that day. Bees go overboard and we naturally care for the environment so do not kill them. Our Hotel in Portales as a free vend without star Hotel rural cacarter not deceive our advertising and confirmed in published photographs and description.
We apologize for the water in your shower and the noise accompanying the Avenue Hotel, unfortunately we can not do anything in relation to it no longer depends on us.
We try to deliver the best of our service and are the most economical of San Esteban Hotel. Our breakfast includes:
Coffee or tea (water or milk)
Natural jam made in our hotel Free fruits of chemicals
Butter
Cereal
Yogurth
Homemade bread
homemade cake
Juice
We believe it is a good breakfast and healthy and so far no other passenger had called us for this service. We apologize if you found it very basic.
We try to use your comments to improve some things discussed.
We explanation for prospective passengers to see our offering on the side of the natural themes and our basic room supply.

Great place

Great time at this hotel Franz the owner was trully devoted to us. I took the time to give us goods tips for resto and thing to go. It the bes Quality- price in town. Good option for those who want to go at Portillo!
