Nicely operated hostel in an otherwise unfriendly town...
Very laid back, though well managed and overall, a welcoming abode. The cleaning standards were A* throughout my three-day stay and there was always hot water in at least one of the communal showers (some rooms are ensuite). The breakfast was an added bonus consisting of 2x tea bags, some ham, cheese or scrambled egg as-well-as Jam and toast. These are the positives. The negatives were that the WiFi was terrible and barely worked most of the time and the rooms and communal area was unheated and as such was freezing cold. There was also no Laundry option and though some people hand washed this was not permitted by the management. I would recommend nonetheless and the staff were always friendly.

Do not recommend
We are very grateful to Fran for saving us when we arrived at Atacama, as the transfer left us in the wrong place 2km from the Hostel, at night, with too cold and luggage. He made contact with a cab that picked us up. And Ximena who allowed them to use their phone to make a call. However, the Hostel does not look like what you see in the pictures. I am not luxurious, but I describe the hostel as exaggerately simple. The price of the daily expensive for what it offers. I visited other hostels in the region and saw equal values for more nice places. The room when we arrived was clean but without towels or toilet paper.The bed linen very punished and the sheets smell not very nice. A lot of noise at bedtime as the rooms are glued and without sealing, and the shared bathroom was next to our room. Outside some bitch I think it's a cat that was running over the roof at night. So if your intention is to have a good night's sleep it is not a good option. The box is minimal with plastic curtain, the water warms a lot and suddenly cools, imagine this in the cold of the Atacama. We stayed 6 nights, just because we had paid everything, and if we exchanged we would not be refunded. Those six nights the faxin person was going into the room, arranging the bed, taking the trash out of the bathroom and alone. The bathroom wasn't clean. Just passed the floor of the room. Very hard to understand. The breakfast is very weak. All right we didn't expect much from a hostel, but ..... Follow the picture. No coffee, only soluble, egg in minimal quantity and no fruits. After all, we had to ask for everything and with the difficulty of understanding it got worse.
The location is not at all bad, it has to walk about 5 minutes to the main street of the Atacama, but as it is in front of a highway, there is a lot of noise. At the end there was still a confusion about the duration of our stay we paid six nights and they thought we would on the previous one.
Anyway, I ⁇ 't stay here again.

nice patio
We book two rooms here as we travel with friends. They are basic but nice, one of them has a fridge, the other doesn't The shared bathroom is small but clean…. sure, we need to save water, because we are in the desert. There is a nice patio where you can spend an evening. There is a dining room where breakfast is served. The staff are nice and helpful.
The location is very good- within a walking distance to the town but far away from the noise and crowds... quite close to the bus terminal.
Wifi is poor.

Awful
Awful. Avoid going there. It looks like a pass motel. Terrible smells from the moment you arrive at the reception. Noises all the time. They do not refund if you pay in advance. Everything extremely precarious. The only thing they are interested in is money. A disaster.

Gracias por su opinión, el wi fi por lo general es malo en todo el pueblo ya que estamos en u na zona extrema donde aveces se corta la luz se corta el agua, sin embargo tenemos un tanque de agua para ese problema, respecto a la lavanderia y calefacción no otorgamos esos servicios porque esto encareceria nuestros precios, tomaremos en cuenta sus sugerencias, saludos.
