If I ever return to Cartagena, I'd stay here.
very comfortable, ground level accommodation in the high-rise Bocagrande peninsula; reasonable tariffs, pleasant breakfast; great team of competent women running the show; walking distance to beach, restaurants galore and Antigua Cartagena, If I ever return to Cartagena I'd stay here.

Would stay again
We booked this small and cosy hotel for 9 nights. When arriving at the hotel, checking in was smooth and obe of the staff members carried our larger bag up the stairs which was nice. The hotel offer free wifi, which worked very well. Every morning we had different kind of breakfast (that is served 7-9am), arepas, empanadas, pancakes, scrambled eggs, patacons. Loved how it was typical Colombian food. You could choose fruit or orange juice and coffee or hot chocolate. The lady who served the breakfast was lovely.(we had a bit of language barrior but thanks to google translate we understood)
My hub didn't really like the bread as it was sweet and also not too keen on the arepa/patacon/pancake breakfasts. Maybe a salty choice would be nice if there's pancakes(eggs maybe).
Our room was with the balcony. The balcony was nice, alltho the light on the ceiling was a bit too bright. If you wanted to sit in the balcony it felt little bit like you where in a shop window that people looked to. Room had large bed, bathroom, fridge and place to put your belongins and clothes. The safe didn't work. Cleaner came every day, but somedays late as 5pm. When being on the beach the day you couldn't get into room cause the cleaner was there. One day the balcony door didn't work, we said about it. Receptionist send someone to fix it. But after we got back there was spray oil left in the room..the door still didn't work as it should have. And one day we ran out of toilet paper when i was usung the toilet My hub went to get new roll of paper so i could get out of the toilet. Spare roll of paper in the toilet cabinet would be nice!
Soaps were switched every day. But we would have prefered use the soaps and not get new one every time.
During evening and nightime we needed earplugs as there is a busy main street next to.
The evening before we left, we asked if we could have late check out as our flight was leaving ~5pm. The receptionist called to someone and said it can happen. We had our last day breakfast, half day at the beach. When we got into the hotel there were no running water. But it was a problem all over the city. Luckily the water problem was solved quite quickly and we got in our way to shower and to the airport.
Thanks for the lovely staff in the hotel. Especially the "boss" lady in the breakfast and who seemed to run the place. If we'll ever come back to Cartagena we'll stay here. Place where personality and it's unique.

1st time in Cartagena
I choose this hotel because it was recommended! And I don’t regret it! Nice hospitality! Warm and friendly Staff! They booked a Tour for me and it was great! The hotel is clean and is clearly that has been renovated! New split AC/Big TV; the only down is that there is no lift, but that was not a problem since they have Staff who help you with your bags! (I only have one anyway)!!
The hotel is located at a Main Street in Cartagena, near many other hotels, restaurants, pharmacy, Convenient stores and Bocagrande beach is just one block away (actually the street behind the hotel)! I’ll definitely stay here again and I’ll recommend it to my family/friends!

Interesting hotel on the main strip in Cartagena
The hotel seems tucked in between some businesses instead of being stand alone; there are folks out front who are hawking touristic trips, etc., which took away from the ambiance I had expected. However, check in and out were easy, and I was able to store my luggage at the end of my stay without any problem. The room was basic, with a double bed, safe for valuables, and a bathroom. However, the shower floor is slippery tile, so if someone has balance issues, this may be a concern.
Breakfast is very basic - you get what they are serving. One day was scrambled eggs with ham scattered throughout, so for a non- meat eater, this was a problem. The one pancake day was good, but served with Aunt Jemima, which to this New Englander, is just not maple syrup! (I get it, maple syrup is a luxury in places like Cartagena.) But it's quickly done and served with a smile, so that's a plus.
Getting to anywhere from the hotel location is very easy, and taxis are plentiful.

Great staff.
Yes it is a 3 star but it is clean and in a good area. The price is good and they will take good care of you. I rented a room for my in laws, they were great. The staff are very good quality and make stuff work.
