be careful with santorini villas del mar and casablanca

I booked for this hotel that had a lower price than the original, and they gave me a room in Santorini Casa Blanca which is less expensive and they told me that it was the same I paid 70 dollars for a sea view and it turns out that their sea view was a window 1x1.5 m in the corner of the room and they told me "if you want, make your claim at the end of your stay" when I asked for the claims book they told me "we don't have it, you can leave it on a white sheet", honestly it was so frustrating for me to deal with With them, also since you have already paid what can you do, nothing, you have to put up with their mistreatment and abuse because I paid for another room.
I would say that the cost/quality is not worth it, or make sure that the conditions of your room are well specified and complain immediately or that you only pay for one night and the conditions come by itself. I booked for 6 nights and I had no other option but to stay. .

Cheap but falling apart

We thought we were saving some money but in the end we were just pissed off and ended up spending a ton more on a nice hotel the next day just to forget all about this terrible experience.
Tried two different rooms, first one had the toilet broken, second both the toilet and the shower was broken. On top of that in the second one the sheets were stained and the bed made us smell like pee the next day. The cochroaches seemed happy though and the staff was quite nice although they would only give us 10% discount for not having a working bathroom.
My conclusion, if you're on a very very VERY strict budget, this place is ok, but if you have any standards whatsoever then go somewhere else.

I strongly urge you to book elsewhere

Do not stay here, it's not even worth saving the money. The room was ok. Bathroom was revolting. During our time there was regularly police in the lobby. We ended up literally running out after someone was standing on a bucket peeping in to our room. Just don't.

Cheap, clean rooms, but not again

The rooms are cheap, and clean, but there are no windows. Makes you claustrofobic and it is a long walk to the center. Better to take a taxi with ac which will end up in a treffen jam. There was Brown water coming out of the shower.

Better book a hostel

We booked the private room in the hotel Villa del Mar via Booking.com prior to coming to Santa Marta without looking at the hotel / room conditions which was a huge mistake. The room was pretty expensive for the town, 60,000 COP per night, and the quality was unfortunately bad: no windows (so I felt a bit claustrophobic), very poor air conditioning (there was a conditioner on the well but it barely helped), the staff wasn't very friendly and the bathroom was ok but could be much better. Luckily we need to stay just one night, so it was fine. The good thing was the hotel's location - very close to the sea & city center. Also we were glad the hotel allowed us to store our bags for a couple of days for free while we were traveling to Tayrona - however most of the places do so as well.
My advise: don't book anything in advance if it's not the main season, better come and look, ask at several different places and don't stay in a private room unless you really need to. Later on I stayed in another hostel in S.Marta, much cheaper and better quality though not so close to the beach.
