Better than Starfish Cuba
Playabachata is a budget friendly resort. Good for family who has kids. The only downside is catered to mostly locals which is good and bad. Just beware of those people who are selling time shares. The pools are a bit smaller for the clients . Senator pools are less crowded and better music.

That said, we sincerely regret any disruption caused by external vendors during your stay. While we maintain strict policies against solicitation, we'll reinforce our monitoring efforts. Regarding pool facilities, our Senator area remains available for guests seeking quieter moments.
Nonetheless, we're thrilled you appreciated the curated atmosphere at our Senator pools. Many families particularly enjoy how this space balances relaxation with vibrant energy through its music selection.

Vacay experience.
Good resort,nice food,amazing staffs in Delhi club,thanks you Fresita,Sky and kitty..but the only thing,no Wifi in the room.they need to improve that.Good in general.

Poor customer service
Our experience was extremely disappointing due to the poor customer service. The staff came across as rude, dismissive, and unprofessional throughout our stay.
Our room drinks were barely restocked. When we first called reception, we were told by a male that someone would come within 10 minutes. After waiting over an hour with no one arriving, we called again. Instead of apologizing or offering assistance, a female receptionist became argumentative, insisted they don’t provide "room service" (even though we were only requesting our mini fridge be restocked), and then abruptly HUNG UP on us. This happened Thursday July 30 6PM.
We were also offered what was described as a "tour" of the adjacent resort with a luncheon. It turned out to be a high-pressure sales presentation for a timeshare-style membership. If you're approached with this offer, be aware of what it actually is before agreeing.
Based on our experience, we felt treated with a deep lack of respect. As such, we would not stay here again and cannot recommend the Senator brand properties.

Few positives , many negatives on resort .
Many things to say about the resort . The positives are the cleanliness of the resort , staff always cleaning . The rooms are oldish but very clean , thumbs up for the cleaning staff . Liz our bartender was amazing , always attentive and great bartender . The negatives are that the hotel is 95% of Dominicans which are very loud from morning till night , never felt so unseen and unwanted in my life . We seemed like aliens to them . Forget about getting a chair at the pool , always full . Food was ok , beware the weekends when the locals are there , they come first for service , food , drinks etc... When the locals are there it seems like a famine going on ,so much waste of food . Beware of people hustling you , beach is nice but afternoon very windy .air conditioning works medicore at best . Don't expect service like in Cuba .

Very Disappointing Stay – Poor Housekeeping and No Basic Amenities
We were assigned two rooms, 1308 and 1312. Neither room had shower gel, conditioner, or—most importantly—towels. We called the front desk to request these items, but they never arrived. I even asked a housekeeper, who told me they didn’t have them available.
This was a very disappointing experience. Basic amenities should always be provided, and the lack of follow-up from the staff made the situation even worse. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not recommend this hotel to my colleagues, friends, or family.
