Small and intimate hostel

Ruta 80 is a well maintened little hostel, it's cheap, easy to reach from the center and with an intimate atmosphere. The small spaces aren't the most comfortable, but it's clean and great to meet people

To be improved

Value for money. The rate includes breakfast which you need to make it yourself. Yet, the quantity should be adjusted according to the number of people staying. It kinda ran out of eggs and pastries in the end. The roommates that I had were really inconsiderate, very noisy at night and full of weed smell in the room. Not the hostel's fault but if it's not full, there's no need to put almost everyone in a room, it's so cramped and poorly ventilated.
The bed that I had was the worst dorm bed in my life, I can feel the spring inside the mattress.
Other than these, it's just a basic hostel, nothing special.

Best Rock'n'roll hostel in Brno

Considering the small beautiful characteristic town Brno is finding a cozy place in a 15-20 minute walking distance from the center is real cool, especially when you have such a cheerful, nice and helpful host as Dario <3 The hostel feels like a nice little house full of pictures of 80's Rockstars. It's totally affordable and facilities are real good. You can cook there, use their laundry or whatever. If you're looking for a hostel in Brno I'd definitely recommend Ruta 80 to you. And if you're a rock'n'roll lover it's perfect for you <3

We didn't think about staying here at first but we reached Brno at 00:30 with our previous option dismissed. Dario was the only was who could do us a check in after 01:00 am. Me and my friend ended up staying 3 nights. Includes breakfast, wifi and freedom to cook and drink your own alcohol. It was so nostalgic the references to video games, movies and music band from the 80s such as Super Mario, Twisted Sister or Robocop, loved it!, Grazie.

at a parking on Auto Bazar compound

You have to make an appointment about exact time of arrival. Even then there might be no receptionist. Rather basic accommodation, but all you need is available: a bunk, hot shower, clean toilet, a kitchen with stove and fridge, wifi, information on things to do in Brno. It is not in the center, but at 20 minutes (on foot) along an uninteresting road with a tram. The hostel itself is tucked away behind a parking lot on the compound of an Auto bazar.
One of the reasons for staying here is the kind owner and the fact there is care (obvious in the way the hostel is run). A big relief compared to other places in Brno.
