A GEM in the little village of Novy Bor

This has been our third visit over the years, and I can assure you we’ll be back again in the not-so-distant future. We never tire of this hidden gem, tucked away in the small village of Nový Bor, in the picturesque area of Liberec. It truly feels like our home away from home in the Czech Republic. We always book the same room, and our kids head straight to it out of habit. We always book the room with a balcony since I enjoy my daily cigar and have a rather large family. This rooms suits a family of 4-5. Be aware the water closet (WC) is separate from the room but it is PRIVATE. So you are the only ones who have access to it. I find this no problem.
The owners and managers couldn’t be any nicer. The place is always quiet, and the food caters to all tastes. They even accommodate special requests for breakfast—I'm partial to eggs and bacon, and when asked in advance, the owner happily prepares it to order. Dinner offerings range from traditional Czech cuisine to Indian dishes, with a selection of drinks and wines to suit every palate. Within a short walk (<2km) along a quiet back road you will find a number of attractions. Highly recommend.

The name “second home” does not fit at all

Our stay was terrible. The owners are pushing you from the beginning, they call you and ask you at what time are you arriving. Knocking on the door at 8:30 to inform you that the breakfast is from 8:00 to 9:00. But the breakfast is a tragedy. Nothing warm was served. Not even mashed eggs. The chafing is just for decoration . On the checkout day they are knocking on the door again to be sure that you are not checking out at 10:01. They also advertise bike rental, but they don't rent the bikes anymore. So you have to change your planes directly on the arrival.

Très bon accueil, maison chaleureuse

Bel endroit au calme dans un petit village près de Novy Bor.
Le propriétaire est souriant, affable et compétent.
Le confort est bon et la maison est très propre...
A recommander pour visiter les environs très riches culturellement

Moc příjemné misto

Uzasna zahradka s krasnym vyhledem do zelene. Moc mila obsluha a skvela kava. Domaci okurkova limonada take potesila. Vnitrek penzionu utulne zarizeny. Klidne a prijemne misto, idelani pro rodiny s detmi, maji tam i mensi piskoviste. :-)

La posizione di questa pensione, a pochi chilometri dal centro di Novy Bor, nelle colline che circondano l'attrazione turistica Sloup v Čechách, è ideale per godere della tranquillità della campagna pur essendo vicino ai principali centri della zona,
Le camere sono arredate semplicemente ma con i confort necessari, il bagno è spazioso e funzionale. Sono presenti 2 diversi wi-fi molto buoni. Si può richiedere una bicicletta gratis per fare dei bellissimi giri nei dintorni. La colazione, servita nella sala ristorante, è personalizzata (si indica la sera prima il menu e l'orario). Il ristorante, che serve principalmente piatti di carne (anche alcune paste e pizze), non è degno di nota. Frequentato invece il bar, specialmente dai molti ciclisti di passaggio. Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo, accettano carte di credito.
