Great hotel specializing in sports activities

My grandson is attending a week long soccer academy camp in this hotel. Not sure of the year built, but all areas look new and well kept. Small reception area, with modern elevator near by leading to a dinning room and a bar, and a large sunny terrace. There is a conference room, and all the kids from the soccer camp have their meals and indoor activities there. His room is clean, with plenty of draw/ cupboard space, small fridge, fair sized bathroom. On the property are several immaculately kept soccer fields, 5 tennis courts, volleyball court and well equipped fitness center. We were pleasantly surprised by the pine forrest surrounding the facility and an outdoor playground, smell of fresh pine cones everywhere, what a wonderful place to get away from the iPads and TVs at home. There is an war airplane museum near by, and of course the city of Plzen to explore by car. Next time my grandson attends this soccer camp, we will book a room as well and enjoy the pine forest.

A very pleasant surprise

The hotel is in a village several miles northeast of Pilsen, so if you're not driving, it might be a bit of a problem. Otherwise, this place is wonderful. My daughter booked it online, and to be honest, as we were turning onto Sportovni I was really wondering what she had gotten us into. But once we cleared the trees and saw the place, my fears were all put to rest. It's a nice looking hotel sitting adjacent to a sports club. There was a football pitch on one side of the hotel, mini-golf on another, and an area with clay tennis courts, sand volleyball, trampolines, and several other things. Everything very clean and well maintained. The hotel itself is right in the midst of all of that, but is a separate entity.
The reception area was modern and looked new. The woman at the desk spoke very little English, but was quite fluent in German. We checked in and found that to our surprise, they even had a lift - very much appreciated by my wife's bad knee. The room was spacious, clean, and modern. the Wi-Fi was strong and fast. Breakfast was included and was the typical continental fare.
The on-site restaurant was excellent and extremely cheap compared to what we had been getting in Germany. As you would expect in this area, the beer was outstanding and again, quite cheap compared with what we had been getting in Germany.
I was very pleasantly surprised with this wonderful little place.

Was good

The check in was very good, the room is large, the bathroom very good, clean, large bed, the breakfast was very good, a far from pilzner, but we stay only one night, cause we are tired by car traveling...

Velmi dobre

ubytovani na jednicku . Ciste a prislusenstvi v porku koupena a toaleta, pokoje ciste. Stravovani opet na jednicku. Velky vyber jidel . hezky interiera a prijemna obsluha . jidlo bylo na stole behem 15 minut. Celkovy dojem se da hodnotit na plny pocet bodu

Wenn im Pilsener Zentrum alles ausgebucht ist

Waren Ende September da. Da in Pilsen das Pilsener Bierfest stattfand, mussten wir in der weiteren Umgebung buchen. Hier mein subjektives Fazit:
+ Zimmergröße sehr komfortabel
+ Snacks und kühle Getränke an der Rezeption erhältlich
+ Geldwechsel zu gutem Kurs an der Rezeption, sehr nützlich!
+ Rezeption Tag und Nacht besetzt
+ Sauberkeit absolut ok
= Personal durchwachsen: mal superfreundlich, mal arrogant
= Frühstück bestenfalls Mittelklasse, vieles fehlte
- Lage 9 Kilometer von Pilsen - Taxi kostete umgerechnet 10 bis 15 Euro pro Fahrt
