Reconnect with the power and beauty of nature at this jungle oasis

We had a lovely stay at The Scarlett Villas! The property is truly a jungle oasis. The grounds are absolutely stunning and perfectly manicured. The property owner was warm, welcoming, and went above and beyond to ensure we felt at home during our stay. The property is conveniently located near awesome restaurants, coffee shops, boutiques, and a grocery store. They have a beautiful swimming pool in the center of the property, a gorgeous yoga studio that overlooks the jungle, private trails for walking, a game room, and much more. If you are looking for a place to disconnect from the hustle of modern day life with comfort and ease, I highly recommend The Scarlet Villas.

worst ever

Worst lodging experience ever. Understaffed, poor attention to guests, general feeling of unease, unresponsive staff. Please ask a lot of questions before you book.

Wonderful rainforest getaway!

We stayed for a week between Christmas and New Year's and truly enjoyed our stay. We were in the 2-bedroom villa, so our family of 5 had some room to spread out. We enjoyed the peace and serenity of The Scarlett Villas. The coffee and breakfasts each morning were so enjoyable, especially during a gentle rain on the covered patio. We had fun exploring the creek on the property. Casey and Helder were so helpful in arranging a local chef to come one evening to prepare us a meal, and to suggesting local places to eat and visit. The road up to the villas is a wee bit bumpy, but we managed and got used to it after the first couple of days. It was so nice to be away from the big touristy areas of the northern part of Costa Rica.

A peaceful retreat

Scarlet Villas Hotel in Ojochal is the perfect spot for a relaxing retreat. Nestled in a high, wooded area, you can hear monkeys in the distance, adding to the tranquil atmosphere. The villas are spacious and rustic offering everything you need for a comfortable stay. Although there are no TVs inside the rooms, you won't miss them, it's a place to truly disconnect.
One of the highlights is the friendly and welcoming owner and staff. They make you feel right at home and the breakfasts are delicious! Make sure to ask about their pet-friendly option, which is a huge plus for animal lovers. Their sweet dog and cat are often around.
The pool is a dream, with a cozy little cave to escape the sun. It's an ideal spot to relax or even work remotely. While the hotel isn't easy to reach by foot, having a vehicle is worth it for the location. The secluded, elevated setting offers peace and quiet, plus there's a nearby waterfall that’s an added bonus for nature lovers.

Villas with pool and TOP service

A real gem, these small bungalows round and m the pool with the tall trees around. Sometimes toucans come by and you hear monkeys far away. And thanks to Helder and his crew for the always warm and attentive care and tips. It was really extremely relaxing.
