HIGHLY RECOMMEND
well where do I start, I would highly recommend staying at Villa Tomasovic what a lovely place! The owners of this beautiful villa cannot do enough for you, regularly bringing us hand picked plums and delights from his own grown plants. Anything you ask they go above and beyond to help with.
The villa itself is very clean and tidy and the view from room 4 5 & 6 are amazing as you have full seaview.
podstrana itself is quite expensive to eat so get a bus to Omis or split to find cheaper, Omis is the cheapest if you go go to a takeaway called tasty's!!! Cheap and lovely food.
I will be returning again and one couple we met this was there 7th visit to the villa and I know why. Do not hesitate to book this you wont be disappointed.
The hill up to it is a killer though but helps you work off the calories you have drunk or eaten :)

Very clean but lacking modernity
+ Room and pool area extremely clean, smiling host and invests. Impeccable swimming pool and enough deckchairs available, possibility to eat by the pool tables and chairs available.
– Despite the recent furniture, bathroom and old-fashioned kitchenette, studios a little small, bed linen not very neutral (planes pattern), does not look like photos where everything is white. View of the surrounding houses.

Great Stay.
Me and my boyfriend stayed at the Villa recently for 6 nights, we had a great laugh. Rooms are clean with the basic things you need, including a hair dryer which is great! View from the balcony was lovely of the pool, beautiful flowers and the distant sea. The villa is about a 2 minute walk to the sea front where there is bars and places to eat with a fantastic view. The pool is clean and refreshing for the summer months. Would recommend:)

A good place for exploring
If you want 5* accommodation with fluffy white towels then this is definitely not the place for you. If, however, you want good, clean, value for money in a homely place with amazing views where the owners offer beautiful fresh peaches straight from the garden washed down with home made liquers then this place will suit you fine. We stayed for 3 weeks and for the first week and a half we often had the small pool to ourselves; away from the very busy road the Villa can be a peaceful haven.
The downsides to this property (of which there were few) include the steep walk back up the hill to get back to the property. Anyone with mobility problems or small children in pushchairs beware! This is quite a climb and if you're on the top floor there is no lift. It is suitable for families though as we found out during our second week when 2 large families arrived and soon took over the small outside space and pool.
Podstrana itself is not among our favourite places in Croatia. It has only basic facilities and is very pricey compared with everywhere else. The two beachfront restaurants seem to be competing pricewise with the large Meridian Lav but are nowhere near the standard. They are adequate for beach food but better food and prices can be found elsewhere up and down the coast.
All in all a lovely holiday incuded cheap, easy bus rides up and down the coast and a boat trip to the island of Brac. Split is an amazing place but spoiled by the hundreds of people doing walking tours during the day, so busy in the heat one can hardly breathe! Avoid the last bus back at night at all cost!

Excellent villa, great hosts and fab room.
We have stayed here two years running, both times we have had a room on the top floor with fantastic views. The hosts can't do enough to help, clean towels and bedding regulary plus towels for the fantastic pool. Hosts cooked us a fab BBQ one evening (yum yum). Loved to have us join them for a taste of their home made licquor and a chat before going out in an evening. There is a few lovely resturants and bars along the very clean beach.There is a bus stop just down the road one direction goes to Split town ( very lovely) the other direction goes to Omis which also has a fab beach, bigger than Podstrana. All in all Tomasovic is a fastastic villa to stay and hopefully we will be visiting again soon :-)
