Accomodation

My first visit to this hotel was a wonderful experience, from accomodation,food and very
pleasant staff,always at your service,for anything you need,highly reccomended,especially for families with small children,and if you are looking for peaceful adriatic oasis

Hotel not interested in its guests

We had to book a room at 11 p.m. quickly. There is information on the door that the reception is open 24 hours a day by phone. I called. Even though the room was available (information on booking), the sleepy gentleman said that you need to book in advance and hung up the phone.

Don’t get the good rate

I just don’t get such good rating, cause we entered in dirty room. Dirty carpets, dust, someones hair in the sink and on the floors, balcony never touched, window glass full of someones fingerprints... They just changed bed sheet.
Room where they served breakfast was sooo hot that salami and cheese were all shiny from fat and they have worst coffee. Bread slices thick and old more than a day. Fruit is leftover dessert from yesterdays dinner.
And for dinner, beside poor choice (pizza always!, and most often pork and potato) one time we got cold fish and lasagne, one time we were waiting for pizzas but they gave us dessert before it and it was ice cream!
Personnel... most of the time they are polite but something is missing.
And the pool! The brightest part of Hotel Orion! No objections:)

Poor value for money

The reception personnel is helpful and polite but the restaurant staff is awful.
A couple of times they served us dessert during the main course, also they took us main course while we were still eating it but turned to salad at the moment.
During our stay (7 days), we would pick between 3 dinner dishes for the for the next day. It was always pizza which is fine, the rest is basic (usually pork and some form of potatoes). Small portions, taste okeish, presentation horror. Selection of food for breakfast is fine, but the salami and cheese were left at the table which is not cooled so they would get all greasy, fruit is a bit old, caffee - the cheapest kind.
Rooms are small but relatively tidy. Could be cleaned better. The walls are so thin you could practically hear the person in the next room breathe.
Poll is nice.

Basic accomodation, good service

This was the 2nd time in Vodice in 2 years, and both times we stayed in Orion. The hotel is a basic apart/motel style, good enough if you have no extra needs, just a bed. The rooms are tiny, the beds are a bit old, but cannot complain about the cleanliness. I had some mosquitos both times, now I was prepared to fight, with the spray. The dinner was simple (based on half board) but tasty, the breakfast was easy, the juices were tasteless... anyway, I think the price/value balance is okay. Big disadvantage that there is no elevator, not easy to climb up for older or disabled people.
