A Fantastic Week on the Beach

A great week at the Avila. A great place to stay if you want to be on the beach and near the great restaurants on Penstraat, especially during the offseason. We rented a car for just two days to visit the historic Portuguese synagogue and museum, and the art installation and restaurant at the Cathedral of Thorns, which any visitor to Curaçao should see. The service is excellent, including the staff at the Pen restaurant, where we were served breakfast by the delightful Sarah and Rusline, who epitomize the friendly attitude of everyone at the hotel and communicate effectively in four languages.

The staff with hearts of Gold

We just returned from Curacao and we loved this resort. The staff here make all the difference. They truly care for you while you are staying here. My husband who tripped and fell and they kept checking in with us to make sure he was ok. Anthony in security and Joanne were so kind. the staff at the Blues restaurant where he fell could not have been more kind The beach was fabulous. The buffet breakfast was delicious especially the fabulous Miss Donna who made delicious omelets every day. The Saturday BBQ was delicious and the gentleman grilled the tenderloin to perfection. The location was convenient a short drive to the city in one direction or a short drive to the aquarium and Mambo beach. Finally when our flight was canceled and we had checked out and had no where to stay, I called and begged them to find us a room for one night. They found a beautiful suite for us to stay in for an additional night and allowed us to have a late check out called us a cab to the airport. They just did everything possible to make us feel comfortable during our airport snafu. We are so very grateful and will definitely recommend this resort to our friends and family. Thanks so much

Relax - nothing else !

The best vacation experience I've had for the long time. Everything was simply perfect. Rooms, beach, food, service. Can't wait to come back.

Excellent in every way

Clyde was so good to us and took care of all of our needs. He was so warm and friendly. We loved him very much.

Perfect place

We had a great experience here. It is big enough to have resort amenities like a beach bar, 2 restaurants, snorkeling and paddleboard rentals, but not like one of those massive Caribbean resorts. It is also steps away from the water and about a 10-ish minute walk to Willemstad. Service was awesome.
