A Unique and Charming Hideaway in the Heart of Historic Willemstad

We stayed at Kura Botanica Hotel for three nights in March and absolutely loved our experience. We chose it mainly for its proximity to the many attractions, shops, and restaurants of Willemstad, and it truly didn’t disappoint.
From the moment we arrived, the young staff made us feel very welcome and checked us in quickly. After unpacking, we enjoyed our complimentary arrival cocktail by the pool bar — a lovely start to our stay. We had booked a Superior Junior Suite for the extra space and spacious patio, and it turned out to be an excellent choice. The suite was large, well-equipped, and comfortable, with great air conditioning, bathrobes, and complimentary coffee, tea, and water. The only downside was that it felt a bit dark, as most shutters needed to stay closed for privacy.
We loved relaxing on our patio in the evenings with a drink, and one night the friendly bartender even delivered a takeout dinner from a nearby restaurant directly to our suite — such thoughtful service! The pool area was a lovely, social spot to cool off midday, and there’s also a terrace with a charming view of the colorful Handelskade waterfront buildings. My partner used the small fitness centre, which had everything needed for a good workout, plus the bonus of yoga classes a couple of times a week.
The location couldn’t have been better. It’s right in the heart of Willemstad’s UNESCO-listed historic district, making it easy to explore everything on foot.
Overall, Kura Botanica Hotel offered a peaceful, upscale retreat in a vibrant part of the city. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for comfort, style, and convenience in Curacao.

Kura Botanica Hotel: a hidden treasure in Curacao

Meeting Kura Botanica Hotel was a unique experience. The hotel is located in Village Hulanda, near the centre of Otrabanda in Curacao. Close to excellent restaurants, shopping centers, Ema Bridge, among other tourist attractions. The rooms are spacious, with bathroom, room service. Breakfast was served in another hotel near Kura. In this was daily, bread, croissants, patés, american breakfast, fruits and brownie. The reception and breakfast staff were extremely polite, always looking to help, guide.

Fantastic bartender!!

I just want to respond to a review from someone who talks about feeling unsafe from a man of color behind the bar. We had a fantastic experience with the hotel and especially the man behind the bar! This man has given us many good tips and was nice company at the bar. He never made us feel unsafe!!

I travel almost every 3 weeks and I can hands down say that this was one of my best experiences to date at a boutique hotel. From arriving till leaving I felt at home and the staff took care of anything and everything. When I say that, I mean it. This morning (I've just left) the hotel manager, Miguel, heard I couldn't make it to breakfast due to meetings before checking out, so he made me a to go breakfast, based on what I had for the last 3 days, and had it delivered to my room so I wouldn't go hungry. From sitting by the pool talking to other guest and laughing with staff through the all the little annoyances, the team was on top of it regardless of the hour or the issue. Genuinely very impressed and if we come back to Curacao we know where we will be staying, that's for certain. Thanks Darrel, Tiji, Miguel and everyone else who made this a fantastic experience for us both.

Miguel and the other staff at reception were very helpful. When we requested something they would all go out of their way for us. We enjoyed the room facing the center court yard with live music while sipping our champage on the balcony. A+
