Great place
Great experience, Canadian owner with a great espresso machine. Well located near
Downtown but far from the parties. Room with new mattresses, sea view. We will definitely return .............................

Great terrace, but .......
Liked · 1. Wonderful terrace, though without comfortable chairs.
2, One of the 3 rooms I stayed :) had fantastic balcony, with the only 2 comfortable chairs to be found in the whole hotel :) But it had the waist height bed, with no stairs provided for it LOL.
3. Quiet air conditioners in all three rooms, in which I stayed.
4. The place is very clean, rooms cleaned every day and cleaned very well.
5. Little refrigerator in one of the rooms, in which I stayed. only that refrigerator is available.
6. Two bottles of water, some small snack and the quality shampoo, body lotion, etc provided.
Disliked · 1. The description of the hotel rooms is not not accurate and, in fact, is intentionally misleading.
Only one room has a real balcony. Three other rooms on the 2nd floor have little tiny barristers, the width sufficient for some flower pots, cannot even stand there, live alone to put a chair. Hotel has only 5 rooms, one on the ground floor, another 4 on the second floor. There is another room on the terrace - have not seen it, as it is occupied by the so called volunteer, working a few hours per week, in exchange for this expensive room.
2. The hotel advertises the same 5 rooms at different prices, by changing their description.
3. Fraudulent charges for A. Credit card payment processing- $18 AND B. VAT/IVA, which the business does not pay to the government and simply is stealing from customers. Marilyn has tried to lie her way out. of this. Then she grossly offended and embarrassed me in front of her staff, yelling that she does not want me there and I must get out , and SHE would help me find another place, etc, etc. AND THIS IS WITH FULLY PREPAID AND $65 OVERPAID STAY!!!
4. Have changed rooms 3 times in 3 days. In first room, the shade fell off, leaving the window wide open. The bed was waist high. The second was OK , but had been reserved, about which the staff had forgotten. The 3rd room had no shower curtain and water leaked into the room,..
5.The staff - all part time and the so called volunteers, do not know the town, can make no suggestions about places to eat, places to go, etc Have no idea of the customer service, NONE. One person, was simply rude, unpleasant, directorial, and disagreeable. .
Nobody is in charge, no on site management. Marilyn's fraudulent activities and the time and efforts it took to resolve them, totally ruined my vacations

7. The breakfasts are always small, sometimes inadequate, e.g two spoons of granola, four small pieces of toast, fruit, and coffee.
8. The kitchen staff does not use gloves, nor observes other sanitary measures. Had stomach problems after every breakfast, for all 7 days.

Great visit at El Nido
Great internet wifi, breakfast, comfortable rooms and beds, and friendly staff. I loved the rooftop hammocks and wonderful views too. Marilyn made me feel right at home and she was super knowledgeable, helpful and kind. Highly recommended!

An amazing gem in the perfect location
My husband and I just got back from a week in Ecuador and we couldn’t be more pleased with our experience. Especially at El Nido boutique bed and breakfast in Puerto Lopez, Ecuador.
This place is perfectly placed across from the water, literally a hop, skip and jump into the ocean! Just a few minutes walking distance from the busy hustle + bustle of this tiny yet very popular Puerto Lopez. Close enough to walk to all the restaurants, shops, boat tours and with spectacular beautiful ocean views from the rooms and rooftop open balcony it immediately became my favorite.
The owners are very involved and top of the line Five Star service 100%, all the way to their staff that make delicious breakfast and keep the place extremely clean, to the connections of local tours and guides from fishing, to Agua Blanca or Isla De la Plata. Everything is super easy and convenient.
We thoroughly enjoyed every detail of our stay and look forward to our return!

Best Couples Getaway!
El Nido was the perfect little couples getaway! My boyfriend and I shared the Bed and Breakfast with two other couples and had plenty of privacy but also lots of space for all of us to spend time together. The roof top terrace was amazing for sunsets and hanging out! The kitchen came equipped with everything you would need to cook a family style breakfast, and the sitting room that's adjacent made it easy for all of us to enjoy our coffee together in the morning while looking out at the ocean. The bedrooms were absolutely perfect each with thoughtful detail that really made you feel like you were being pampered. There wasn't one room in the house that didn't have a great view of the natural beauty surrounding El Nido. Last but not least, the location really added to how much we enjoyed our stay. We were close enough to walk to plenty of restaurants and night life, but far enough away to enjoy the peaceful serenity of the nature in Puerto Lopez. The hosts, Kieth and Marilyn, were absolutely amazing and took care of us like family! We’re already planning our next trip back!
