Nice hotel, great price!

I highly recommend this hotel if you are in Zamora for business. The hotel is well located in town with almost all the public offices around.
The staff is really friendly and helpful, the room was clean, the internet excellent, hot water and parking (for vehicle) and all of this, for an incredible good price...
The breakfast is excellent (included in the price) and you can contemplate the river and enjoy the beautiful view from upstair.

Nice place, super hard mattresses.

The staff is very nice. But if you're going with another person, you'll have to climb stairs to get to your room.
My only complaint, and it's a big one: The mattresses are rock hard. I actually brought it up to the owner, who said customers prefer them. Hard to believe that. I've stayed at the hotel several times, but now that my wife has a herniated disc, staying at this hotel is no longer an option because of the super hard mattresses.

Beautiful Hotel with Friendly Staff, Great Price

My boyfriend and I recently stayed here for two nights during the national holiday for Day of the Dead. I was very pleasantly suprised by the quality of the accomodations: bright, airy, clean, and with a lovely view of the town and the river. The bed was very comfortable, and the room had AC (which we didn't use, since the breeze through the windows was enough to cool things off) and a spacious shower with hot water. The staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast was delicious and a great way to try traditional local cuisine. If you're planning a trip to Zamora or to the nearby Podacarpus National Park, this is definitely the place to stay.

Good Budget Hotel

We visited the Wampushkar Hotel in Zamora, Ecuador in January, 2017. This is a small budget hotel with clean rooms that have comfortable beds and warm to hot water showers. The included breakfast was good. The staff is very helpful, the manager, Maria, speaks excellent English. Only one room has AC but a fan is available, if needed.
Maria helped me when I was sick by providing a special tea. She is a very nice person and a good manager.

Clean, friendly, top notch!

I spent two nights at Maria's hotel and loved it. The breakfasts were fresh and usually homemade my mom. The rooms were always clean and sterile. And the staff was super friendly and attentive. A great deal as well. And the owner will go out of her way to help you enjoy your stay in Zamora. I highly recommend the Podocarpus national park and this hotel! An excellent choice.
