Yes, the pool is nice the staff were helpful and accommodating. I will be returning again hopefully soon. Look no where is perfect, if you want perfection then stay home. While here, i felt safe and welcomed. We had a shared bathroom but i never felt rushed. The TV works but limited channels but you have access to wifi so bring your own tablet. Sometimes the lights go out but they have a generator. There is a small store next door to purchase water. The neighborhood is friendly i never felt alone or lonely as a solo traveler. The rooms are clean enough. i noticed some of the walls and ceiling fans should be wiped or cleaned, again if you want perfection stay home. All and all i had an enjoyable time and felt protected and welcomed. Yes, i recommend this guest house it was cozy and surrounded by lush trees, fruit trees and a lovely neighborhood cat, that i fell in love with. I will miss, sounds of the wind blowing through the trees on cool nights and the sounds of birds singing.

Amazing stay at one world. I was made to feel so welcome by Mustapha and his team. I had everything that I needed in my apartment and was able to use the communal kitchen to make food. The guest house was very close to the beach, which suited me really well, and having a pool was an extra bonus. Thanks to everyone at one world 🤗

Quiet place to stay

A quiet and safe place to stay, not far from the beach in a nice neighborhood. The rooms are huge (bathroom, bedroom and separate living room with fridge). All windows are screened so at night when the hungry mozzies are out in numbers, you can let the cool breeze in without being eaten alive.
The mattress is comfortable and linen clean and the whole property is well looked after.
The staff is very friendly and helpful - even in full ramadan they went out of their way to make me comfortable.
There are plenty of restaurants around to kill every hunger.

Best Place To Stay In Gambia

Nice quiet, safe, place to stay. Staff were friendly, trustworthy and give great service. I booked a week bed and breakfast in the classic double room. The room was nice, comfortable and secure. Ensuite bathroom and sitting room with TV, a safe, good fans, good wifi. I enjoyed relaxing outside my room in the sun.
The staff are great, flexible in breakfast times. One day they offered to bring an early breakfast to my room before going on a trip. Great company to watch TV with in the main lounge, especially football.
Nearby short walking distance are shops, restaurants, ATM's, a nice beach, the small Bakau craft market and Calypso bar with crocodile feeding time at 4pm. Not much hassle from bumster pests. Next door is a small kiosk selling drinks, food and a nice Indian restaurant. A few yards up (opposite Ocean Bay hotel) is a stand with official tour guides who are good and will take you anywhere in Gambia, Senegal, Guinea Bissau, private or group tours at good prices The main guide is Alex Sanneh... the best. All a traveller needs is in or near One World guest house.
Thank you to all the staff and owner for everything. I will only stay here if I return to Gambia

Quiet and good service

We were at Cape Point in January 2013.
Some of the guesthouses, cafés and restaurants have now disappeared. A quiet place without many touristes. The beach is without the heavy waves of the western coast.
One World Village has only a few (6) rooms, a lovely garden with many birds. A shared kitchen if you want to cook. The staff is very, very helpful. They will arrange anything for you! The owners believe in ecology!
The place is very clean, good beds, TV and AC. A small shop next door.
Close to Banjul and Denton Bridge if you want a boattrip on the river.
Not far from Bakau fishmarket, a catholic church and the craft marked.
If/when we go back to Cape Point this will be our first choice!
