Nice hotel with spectacular views and good restaurant
We were 4 family members on a trip and had 4 nights at Hvide Falk. The rooms were clean, the beds really good, and the bathrooms were delicious and newly renovated. Altan with a beautiful view over Diskobugten with icebergs. Good free wifi. Friendly and welcoming staff and really good breakfast buffet.
Greenland buffet was in a special class - lots of delicious fish, seafood and other reindeer, mosquito and whale meat.
The location in the city is good, close to shops, pedestrian street and cafes etc.
If we have to return to Ilulissat, I will definitely stay there again.

Poorest quality room our entire trip.

This is our second stay. Huge disappointment after our precious stay. The apartment studio had numerous issues. First the bathroom door creaked loudly every time you opened or closed it. ( got them to fix it right away). A towel hanging rack was bent/loose. The toilet push button gets stuck every time. The upholstered chair was badly strained and likely had mold. It has a kitchen, however the unit lacked plates, short a bowl, and no forks? The lamp shade was also badly stained. Finally, as we went to bed, discovered that the window and door to deck didn’t have black out shades! The loft bed was a thin mattress and looked not comfortable, and lacked even a low bedside table. This was our poorest quality space we had the whole trip. Also be aware that you have to book a table and they don’t prioritize guests staying there. The restaurant staff was short and dismissive, not interested in assisting you.
Will state that the first unit we had previously was very good, it had us return when we needed another night…avoid apartment 607.

Excellent location and the apartments have a wonderful waterside view. Need to be okay with walking up and down.

You can't get a better view

Looks a little tired from the outside, but is great on the inside. The views on the bay side are spectacular. Staff were friendly and breakfast was good. Only downside was the WiFi - which was painfully slow. I assumed it was an issue across all of Ilulissat, but friends of ours at another hotel hotel had very fast internet.

Super experience every time

The staff is very sweet, natural and very helpful, the food is absolutely good. We have eaten there several times during our stay and experienced the Greenland buffet, with snow crap, hellfish, sea cat, mosquito, reindeer and much more, it must be booked in advance as it will soon be sold out. The place is highly recommended.. mvh Hanne and Jakob
