A must stay on Grenada

Fantastic quirky accommodation with amazing sea views, easy access to nearby beaches & sites of interest with a car.
Good food onsite. Great owner & host. Will definitely teturn

A very special place

Almost Paradise is a very unique place to spend a few days. These is not your ordinary vacation cottages. They are unique its style, space and amenities, providing a wonderful view of the ocean and the smaller sister islands that up the southern section of the Grenadines. I haven’t stayed in a place that has an outside shower, and it was just fine and special. And don’t be surprise if you might be visited by one or two of the resident dogs (of course, you can keep them out).
There are limited places to eat in Sauteurs – it’s a small town that is not accommodating for tourists. As others have said, Lucinda is the perfect host, and offers both breakfast and dinner. She prepared absolutely excellent meals mainly of fish that she gets fresh from the local fish market. With limited places to eat, this turned out to be a perfect option, having dinner overlooking the ocean and visiting with other guests. And one also has an option of wine, beer, liquor including that rather strong pungent and potent, Grenadian rum!!
Be prepared to experience a different lifestyle in this northern and rather out-of-the-way part of the island. The local people are friendly and I so enjoyed hanging out with them. You will see few tourists and thankfully no throngs who have unloaded from the cruise ships in St. George’s. That is one of the reasons I chose to stay at that part of the island.

Off the Beaten Path

What a great find. We stayed 6 nights at Almost Paradise and loved it. Charming and comfortable place if you are looking for something off the beaten path. The north end of Grenada is not as touristy and plenty of things to do. It gave us a chance to spend more time with the locals and get to know the culture. You can still get to other hot spots on the island by driving-recommend getting a rental car, we used J&B which was great. Lucinda the owner was super helpful and cooked some wonderful meals.

Stunning views, delicious dinners, wonderful hosts

The broad back porch offers a view from high above the bay to the the wild foliage covering the hillside, the beach below and the islands in the distance.
A full kitchen lets you enjoy breakfast and afternoon drinks while you ponder the view. The rooms are rustic, spacious, and comfortable. And very clean with beautiful wood floors and furniture.
There are several quiet beaches nearby where you'll often be the only people on the beach. You can get a nice lunch at Petite Anse, a short walk away.
In the evening I recommend you have Lucinda's reasonably-priced dinners in the company of fellow travelers.
Rob and Lucinda are friendly, welcoming, helpful and will go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. In the high winds, one of the shutters in my room was creaking ever so slightly. I whined about it to Lucinda and she climbed a ladder and had it fixed that morning.
After that, all I could hear at night was the wind in the trees and the waves crashing on the beach far below.
Truly one of the nicest places I've ever stayed.

The best place to stay on the whole island - by far.

Got back very recently from Grenada, Windward Isles. We had a week. Second half stayed at a well reviewed rather smart hotel in the south-east of the island which was fine. The north is less developed, more attractive and this is THE place to stay - don't hesitate. Lucinda is the perfect host, knowledgeable, a good cook and a smart person all round - the cottages are lovely. You'll be comfortable, get to know the local area and local people and have a lot of fun! 100% recommended.
