Hidden gem close to everything
We had a wonderful stay for 3 days at Miriam R Hotel. The location is perfect —close to everything, but still peaceful. Our room was clean, the breakfast each morning was fresh and tasty, and the terrace, with grapevines and flowers, was such a cozy spot to relax.
What really made our stay special, though, was the owner. Marina is incredibly kind and thoughtful, always checking in to make sure we were comfortable and advised on sightseeing. She made us feel more like family than guests. At one point she surprised us with a platter of bread and cheese as we were sipping wine on the terrace because she thought it would be a nice addition. We left with such sweet memories of Tbilisi and its people —this little hotel is truly a hidden gem.

Wonderful stay at the perfect location
I stayed at the Hotel Mariam R for nine days. I booked the economy bedroom, which was perfect for me and my needs. The room had a private bathroom, which was small, but clean. The bedding and room was fresh and clean. The breakfast was delicious, freshly prepared by the ladies - delicious vegetable soups and blinis. This is not a buffet breakfast with numerous options, but the selections offered were freshly prepared and perfect to start your day. On the days I missed breakfast due to early morning tours, guests are allowed to use the kitchen to help themselves to coffee/make toast, etc., which was super helpful to start my day. Best of all, the hotel is located right in the heart of it all. Shardeni Street, the Peace Bridge, Median Bazaar, Rike Park are minutes away and Liberty Square/Metro is not even a ten minute walk.

Perfect stay
Very pleasant stay in this small family hotel. Perfect location, close to everything you want to visit. Very clean room, good value for money.
Good breakfast served in the kitchen where the lady in charge cooks everything in front of you. Staff very helpful. Thanks.

I don’t know who gave 5 stars to this hotel. When I walked in I was hit by a horrible stench from the bathroom that never went away.
According to their website description they have tv in a common room, robes for guests and a picturesque view. None of those are correct. They don’t even have a common room 😂. Entry picture to the hotel is also not real on website. It’s just a giant metal gates which is fine but why display something else?
Wifi never worked in my room. I had to seat outside, in the blazing heat in order to use wifi.
I also had breakfast for two but they only accommodated for 1 person. When I told them that I had payed for 2 person breakfast they told me you should have asked for it. But it already said so on my booked it. Anyway, they only good thing in that hotel are the ladies that work there. They are absolutely lovely and thank to them my stay was a bit tolerable.

The hotel is in a fantastic location, well within walking distance of most of the best places in Tbilisi. The staff have been nothing short of accommodating since I arrived. There's free breakfast (8–10am) and access to tea and coffee, as well as a free laundry service.
The room is clean and I suppose it is rather small, although that's a rather trivial downside (if at all) since you'll be spending most of your time outside anyway. It's also kept nice and warm inside in winter :) The walls are somewhat thin so sounds from the hallways can be quite audible which could potentially disturb others but it's not really that all rambunctious.
Please note in case you are allergic to cats: there's a cat prowling the halls 🐱
I have enjoyed my stay here and will eagerly book it again when I revisit Tbilisi.
