Peaceful Stay with Stunning Views !
We recently stayed at Residence Vue Mer , and overall had a very enjoyable and relaxing experience.
The highlight of this property is definitely the view—true to its name, the ocean views are absolutely beautiful and make for a perfect setting to unwind. The location is also great, offering a quiet atmosphere while still being close to Deshaies village, beaches, and local restaurants.
The accommodations were clean, comfortable, and well-equipped for a short or extended stay. It felt like a nice balance between independence and having access to support when needed.
One thing worth mentioning—on our first night we accidentally tripped a breaker while making toast, but the on-site caretaker responded quickly and had everything resolved in less than 20 minutes. That level of responsiveness was really appreciated and set a positive tone for the rest of our stay.
It was also our first time staying somewhere with an al fresco kitchen. At first we were a bit apprehensive with people occasionally walking by while we were dining, but it quickly grew on us and became part of the charm. There’s really nothing like enjoying a morning coffee with the sights and sounds of the surroundings right there—it ended up being one of our favorite parts of the stay.
The staff were very friendly throughout our stay, and the pool was a great place to unwind at the end of the day.
Guadeloupe itself is truly a beautiful gem, and this stay only added to our appreciation of the island. We will definitely be returning.

A good establishment but things to improve
We stayed 6 nights in a studio for 2 people.
Plus:
- The room is cute with a nice decor, flowers on the bed upon arrival, etc.
The bed was very comfortable.
- The view was pretty (sea view, although we had a house right in the field of vision). Other accommodations have a nicer view.
- The pool is very spacious and pleasant.
-There is private parking for the hotel.
- The neighborhood is quiet and safe (residential).
The accommodation was clean.
Less:
There was no room to put the suitcases down. We had to put them on the ground and they hindered us to move around the accommodation.
- Our kitchen was inside while for the other accommodation it is outside, so it was a little less "holiday". The good thing, however, is that we were protected from potential mosquitoes.
The shower is open and we put water everywhere.
The sheets were stained in several places.
The bath towels lacked softness.
You have to take the car to go to the beach or eat around.
Remarks:
-It remains a cottage, without the service of a hotel. Bath towels are only changed after 4 nights, there is no cleaning during the stay, etc. We asked for a 2nd roll of toilet paper and we were given it but specifying that normally we had to go buy some ourselves.
- There is a small kitchenette with kettle, microwave, toaster, etc.

Beautiful, quiet, clean hotel. Every room has nice privacy and the outdoor kitchens are smart and approciated.

Nice stay. The breakfast was great! Missing an "apero" menu though. careful the pool is pretty cold.
