be in a lush paradise

It 'a beautiful place: in a lush vegetation of river forest... a paradise out of this world! of course and 'a very wet place inhabited by animals and insects but for those who love the wonderful nature. Also the very comfortable accommodations with mosquito nets

Very beautiful, exotic place

Very beautiful place, we did not stay there unfortunately but a stop during our cruise. This hotel restaurant is very nice and the staff are very welcoming. A stop for coffee, chocolate cakes etc... relaxation guaranteed. We would have loved to have stayed here for our stay.

Idyllic place in the middle of the jungle

Fantastic idyllic place in the middle of the jungle - very nice bungalow with everything you need - right next to the river which is fantastic to swim in. The staff are super nice and friendly and make you feel at home. Located in the middle of the inspiring river community, you can visit the local school on foot through the jungle, or discover the river's many beautiful natural experiences with kayaks you can hire on site.

immersed in relaxation

Hotel immersed in the jungle with relative insects in the room. The beds all have mosquito nets, but inevitably something gets in. Bungalows with large rooms and bathrooms. Possibility of using canoes. Dinner at convivial tables.
Very relaxing and relaxed atmosphere. No wi-fi (which would be there but is always broken). Small, dirty gym with old equipment.

Could do

A nice sociable set up in a great location…. But a few fairly major issues.
Staff made a point of learning my husband’s name, asking about his life, asking what we needed and so on - whilst I was consistently blanked. Not-so-subtle sexism.
Single sheets and blankets and awful pillows on our lumpy double bed
We dreaded dinner every night (you are kind of stuck there so no choice about where to eat)
Advice and information on surrounding areas / transport options etc not correct (some were probably mistakes, some definitely obscuring the truth to benefit the hostel). How could they not know the tidal patterns of the river they live on? How could they not know the cost / the timetable / the existence of the public boat ?
Why is there a pair of boxer shorts on the floor in the main area being used to mop up water?
Location is great
Some great docks to chill on
Great to meet people if you are into the hostel / communal dining vibe
