Great, quirky hotel with excellent staff. Room was very hot, no ventilation and a very noisy fan so sleeping was not so great.

The idea behind Hotel Not Hotel is original and quirky. The exterior almost feels like a small museum, with different spaces and concepts, and some areas, such as the library, are actually really nice. But our experience in The Blue was terrible. When we first walked in, I honestly thought it was a joke or the abandoned room of the caretaker. One double bed and two single beds took up practically all the available space, with no wardrobe, bedside tables or hardly any room to put our things. The floor was old and worn, it smelled damp, and there were a few spiders on the ceiling. And the strangest thing is that, despite being called The Blue, there was absolutely nothing inside that reminded us of that concept: no decoration, no atmosphere, nothing that justified the name. It simply looked like an old, neglected room.
The bathroom was renovated, but the room is right next to reception and has absolutely no soundproofing: you can hear people talking and walking past perfectly clearly. I can't comment on the other rooms, but The Blue was, honestly, a dreadful experience. Luckily, we only stayed for one night.

It was a good budget hotel but the room for 5 persons was too small, another thing that affected our stay is there is no available wifi for 2 days, we had personal data but the speed was too slow inside the room. In terms of location, it is 2-3 kms away from the main tourist spots. The staff were really accommodating though which is a plus point.

Small rooms with no windows. Shared toilet and shower. I guess that’s what you get for the lower price. Ok, location for Amsterdam Centrum. Their bike rental is nice if you dare into the streets of madness

We had to leave after the first night because our room was unbearably hot and stuffy. There’s no window or ventilation. Not to mention the bathroom didn’t have paper towels, or toilet paper. we genuinely couldn’t get one wink of sleep. The mattress was caved in on the left side and extremely uncomfortable. I definitely do not recommend if you’re staying more than one night and have more than one guest. The best part about this hotel is the staff and the bar attached. The Chasse hotel down the street is not much more expensive and wayyy nicer, the rooms are spacious and the amenities are endless.
