Regarding the deposit, we would like to clarify that this was a pre-authorisation, not an amount that we kept or charged. The expiry date of the pre-authorisation is determined by the bank/payment provider, and once it expires, the funds are released according to their processing times.
We understand your frustration. In this case we recommend contacting your bank.

I was told to wear headphones in reception while waiting for my food then the staff continued to gossip and talk about their weekend and told me I was bothering them and “bugging” them.
Besides this, great location and nice spot close by and canals were beautiful.

Our stay for several nights during World Gay Pride Fest
Our only significant suggestion would be to improve ventilation during the warmer months. Both the apartment and the hallway have beautiful, approximately 10-foot-tall windows, but the apartment window could open only a limited amount and the hallway windows did not appear to open at all. After a few particularly warm days, heat built up in both areas and remained even after the outside temperatures cooled.
Making more of these windows operational, allowing them to open farther, or otherwise improving air circulation would make the apartment considerably more comfortable during warmer weather. Aside from that issue, we were very happy with our stay and would certainly consider returning.

Lovely stay
There are several restaurants and cafes nearby and a supermarket about 5 minutes walk away.
The apartment was nicely furnished and clean. The kitchen had some dishwasher tablets and washing up liquid provided and there was shampoo/conditioner/bodywash in the bathrooms.
Within the hotel grounds is a little garden area and giant chess game which we enjoyed in the evenings.
As others have mentioned, there is no air conditioning in the apartments. This isn't a problem in itself but it was 30+°C during our visit and the rooms seem to retain the heat despite using the fans provided. The apartment was over 2 floors. The ground floor room got very hot and uncomfortable but fortunately the bedrooms on the lower ground floor were a better temperature.
We would definitely visit again. It would be 5 stars from me if the hotel could do something to help with the heat retention during hot weather.
