Strandhotel Domburg is a comfortable 3-star hotel with a friendly character. Located just behind the lovely beach and 200 metres from the city centre, you can benefit from the sea anytime.

Functional and well located but complicated
Important things are:
-there are 2 car parks for the hotel, an underground and an open air; these are located a little further down a street in forbidden direction which is disturbing on arrival because there are only 2 places for fast chek- in and you have to turn around the hotel to find the parkings....Please note: these parkings are small and even if the hotel informs you that the parking is included in the price, know that these parkings are very quickly full and that in this case you will have to park in town for the modest price of....55 euros per day!
In addition the underground parking is REALLY too small and unless you come in mini you will have to with difficulty park your car as in a sardine box to the point sometimes of not knowing how to open the doors!! (don't laugh I witnessed the scene...)
There are several types of rooms but they give little explanation on their site...We had a type 3 on the 1st floor in an adjacent building;
WARNING: no elevator and the stairs are really STIFF and DANGEROUS quite unsuitable for an elderly or less able (especially with a suitcase) They should report it at booking...!!
We witnessed a fall and apparently it is quite usual....!
Pros: possibility to have a free tea/coffee near the lobby outside of breakfast period, pleasant after the walk...
The room (type 3) is functional but far from glamorous...there is the necessary, but no more. The sheets were not changed and put back all crumpled on the bed (2 nights stay...)
These various known points the hotel is a good base in the area but they would benefit from more communication (floor, parking etc) and to review their parking!

For this price you can expect more
At night no window can open, there is no air conditioning and therefore very hot. Nice bathroom and location near the beach.
Breakfast is extensive but also very busy, so regularly the products run out and you have to wait for replenishment.
All in all, I think you can expect more at this price.

Nice hotel in great location to the beach
Unfortunately very heavily attended by dog owners. Many large dogs that do not always "harmonize" with each other. Hotel attaches great importance to dog owners. For guests who don't like this, there is little understanding.
