Estimated cottages! Nice quiet area.
We were shocked by the reviews on TripAdvisor.
Luckily it was very different...
Warmly received with clear explanation.
What an estimated cottages it gave us the camping feeling.
Nice outdoor dining with neighbors talk nice and quiet houses in a circle with a canopy in the middle where you can possibly bbq. Also small playground.
Cottage with sleeping alcoves slept wonderfully. Is narrow but we are not that big so for us fine
Kitchen with 2 gas burners, pans, dishes,senseo, kettle,towel with sponge dishwashing brush dish soap and tea towel and matches available for the bbqaan to light.
Toilet and bathroom in small space this is a bit tight but for us fine.
Everything looked neat.
We had log cabin plus.
There are 3 models so take a look at this before you book! To avoid any misunderstandings.
Had linen package booked there is linen with towels. Plus 1x cleaning fee of €25
Restaurant is also there, where you can have a snack and a drink. With a large terrace overlooking the lake.
We had brought our own breakfast, but went to dinner in the restaurant in the evening.
Had a nice dinner.
Surroundings are forests and a lake where you can swim with a sunbathing area.
If we have another event in that region we will definitely come back here again!
We loved it here and are well rested again

During the booking process the extra costs for linen are not taken into account! this concerns 12,50 .- P.P.
There is also a tourist surcharge of 3.- What must be paid on arrival! These costs are so masked that it is not clear to the consumer that there are no sheets and towels on arrival! And the extra cost! These are so-called hidden costs and against the law!
Hygiene, if you lift the mattresses to make your own bed linen, you really go up your neck! Toilet paper toothpicks and dirt under the bed! There is also a whole list ready that you have to finish at check-out, such as: mopping the accommodation and shower, taking away the dirt yourself and returning the linen properly to the restaurant!
If you're lower than 1.72 meters you won't fit in the bed! The accommodation is heavily outdated.
The irony is that you pay 70.- + 3.- + 12.50.- = 85.50 per night (and you have to clean and make up everything).

Wooden houses near the lake
I've been to this village before. It is a great solution to stay near Groningen in the company of my dog. The cottages have everything you need. Depending on the type, the position of the beds (made in the part with the sloping roof) also varies. The bathroom is very basic, very small. The shower is a little uncomfortable if the height of the guests is a little above average. In any case the place is worth a visit is surrounded by vegetation and is very close to the lake. Walking or cycling are really relaxing in the middle of nature. Also excellent breakfast served in the local bar - restaurant of the village.

Great experience.
After reading the reviews here, I went to our accommodation somewhat with lead shoes. We had booked the Log Cabin Romantic for 2 nights. But all my fears turned out to be unfounded.
It was clean, comfortable and warm. Nice, spacious bed. Neat bathroom with indeed romantic touch. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, so we could pick up a breakfast package for the 2nd day without any problem, because we had to leave before opening hours of the restaurant. The breakfast was great, both the breakfast in the restaurant and the package we could pick up. We just enjoyed it!
Only point of improvement; wi-fi in the log cabins would be nice.

Sounds fun, doesn't it?
A Scandinavian village in Groningen, that sounds nice, but it is not.
When we arrived, it turned out that the booked cabin was not available due to a double booking because the reservation system had been broken. Not a problem in itself, we thought. While our cabin was being prepared we were served a coffee and waffle. That boded well. After waiting for 45 minutes we were finally allowed to go to the hut.
When we arrived at the hut, it turned out that the hut had been taken straight from the 1960s. Old pink heart cushions and a separate room containing a bath that was placed in the floor with two candles next to it. We did turn on the bath, but it turned out that it had not been cleaned.
A gas heater that we only dare to sleep next to with some ventilation and a bed that is so hard that we couldn't sleep a wink.
Breakfast is from 10am. But there is no facility to make anything to drink in the hut.
Unfortunately this was a huge disappointment. Shame!!
