Nice location

Andre Rieu concert and spend the night here. In May we were in an apartment, now a hotel suite. Spacious room with seating and kitchenette with fridge and freezer. Bedroom very spacious and nice bathroom. The bed was very short and the sheets even shorter. They couldn't be tucked in so you were on the mattress topper. That was a disadvantage because we're tall.
Then measure enough plates and cutlery. The dishwasher didn't smell fresh. Therefore hand washed (welcome tray with tea towel dish soap and brush provided)
Please note that even if it is a hotel, breakfast is not included as standard. There is a breakfast buffet but very pricey. We ordered a breakfast box of 9.95 and that was more than sufficient.
Cleaner arrived on time, was not needed after 1 night. She did, however, top up the cups for coffee and tea and sugar. Very thoughtful.
The car park is free and large. The hotel has a closed bicycle storage. A ticket for admission can be obtained at the reception.
15 minutes bike ride to the center.

Bedankt dat je de tijd hebt genomen om je verblijf te delen! Fijn om te horen dat jullie het appartement en de hotelsuite ruim en comfortabel vonden, en dat de voorzieningen zoals koelkast, keukeninventaris en parkeerplaats in de smaak vielen.
We begrijpen dat het bed en de lakens voor jullie te kort waren en dat de vaatwasser niet fris rook. Bedankt voor de feedback hierover, we nemen dit zeker mee om waar mogelijk te verbeteren. Ook fijn dat je de attentie van de schoonmaakster hebt gewaardeerd en dat het ontbijtpakket goed voldeed.
We hopen jullie in de toekomst weer te mogen verwelkomen voor een prettig verblijf!

Very poorly slept through paper-thin curtains.

Fine room en suite, but paper thin curtains. Was complained about before but nothing done. We were awake at 5 o'clock and won't go there until there are blackout curtains.

Very bad

Booked 1 day in advance and stated in 2025 instead of 2024. Hotel was totally inflexible, wanted us to book new room, so pay again 1 night. It's called absolutely customer unfriendly. Even legally cancelable because booked less than 48 hours in advance. 0 out of 10 for Dormio Hotel De Prins in Maastricht.
Because we booked through Booking.com, Booking.com staff booked us another room in another hotel at no extra charge and better hotel. 10 out of 10 points for Booking.com

Disappointing experience at this hotel with fantastic location and views

Given the previous positive experiences with the hotel rebooked. A panoramic suite. Unfortunately it was disappointing this time. Poor cleaning, dirty cutlery, dirty crockery in the cupboards. The oven was terribly dirty. On the dining table and chairs were still crumbs. On the carpeting in the bedroom dirty stains. Laminate / PVC in the living room at the edges loose and upright. The beds are starting to sag. Bed linen was not changed, despite what is stated on the website.
After midnight, young people loitering at the entrance of the hotel.
Positive about the accommodation remains the location, the view. Nice also that the furniture on the balcony has been renewed.

Despite beautiful accommodation, it was somewhat disappointing

We stayed here for a night in a very nice apartment in the main building, there was nothing to complain about. Only… it was quite cold when we arrived and the apartment was not heated, and despite asking at reception and setting the thermostat higher from the start, we did not get pleasantly warm. Unfortunately, there was no room left in the restaurant, so I can't comment on that. Breakfast was very tasty and well presented.
