Great for money and nice people
Its a budget motel as the price for double room is less than 40k won..but the room is so much nicer as i thought like at executive suite room lol. Its very easy to get here by subway to singil (line 5) and take exit 3. walk along the small alley beside the railway till you find R hotel. Kakao motel just in front of the R hotel, beside a market. About 5minutes walk from subway. Their staffs are really nice. we keep our luggage a day before, because we have to take a long journey to other place first. The ahjumma couldnt understand what we were saying and keep giving us for 3rd floor room. but she is nice, still greet us with smile although we dont understand each other. She could speak in chinese but not english. Luckily, i bought a korean book guidance and found a single sentence to mention her that with will stay at tomorrow night. Before, she call her boss that could speak english i think. After settle everything, we back to kakao motel tomorrow evening. She gave us 2 room choices. Maybe she felt that our luggage are quite heavy, she gave us choices...3rd floor and 1st floor (in front of the office). Lastly, we chose the 1st floor of course. The ahjeossi also greet us very nice. The room is really big, seems like a family room and complete with everything, complete with heating system in bathroom, floor and heating blanket. Like we can stay for 7-8 peoples in that room. Its a really nice budget motel to stay.

Disgusting
This is the cheapest motel around the Yeungdongpo area but trust me, spend that extra $20 on the many motels around!
This motel has a dirty bathroom where I found pubic hair! The rooms are super tiny and it just feels like a sleazy motel that I couldn't even get a comfortable night's sleep.

Ok motel, pretty groddy, probably wouldnt stay again.
So this hotel didn't suck, but it wasn't anywhere close to good. It's actually pretty dirty and groddy, but at least theres no bedbugs. The bathrooms are pretty old and decrepit and the housekeeping opens the windows daily so fruit flies get in and hang out in there. The bed sheets were covered with pubic hair when i first arrived so i'm under the assumption a lot of people use the motel to bone, but whatever. I asked the lady to change the sheets first night i got there and she was ok with it. The ladies that work there are actually really nice and tried to make my stay as comfortable as they could. It's an ok hotel if you handle old and decrepit. Its relatively clean and you get a water cooler in your room also. Its a short was away from yeoungdopo station and malls and plenty of stuff to eat. So the location is actually pretty great. i took the airport limousine bus to yeondopo station and walked to the motel from there. If you're poor like me . .then its a good option, but there might be better ones out there.

A place for a budget stay in Seoul
We stayed here for 1 night and the place isn't too hard to find. It is situated near Singil subway station, about 10 minutes walk. Not sure about day time, but during night time, the surroundings are quiet enough for a good night's sleep.
The bed is comfortable and the room is spacious enough for two. The bathroom in particular looks a bit old and dirty, and hot water is somehow not available during my stay, even the tap was turned until the max towards hot, so I ended up showering with cold water in the cold autumn night.
I reckon it would be a good budget stay if you are travelling during warmer temperatures, but definitely not during cold weathers, not till the hot water issue is fixed.
