Good value, walking distance from main attractions, good for metro as well.
Booked online, new to Seoul but easy to find. Very friendly can-do staff, good rooms, no food but plenty of cafes and coffee shops nearby. Good value, wifi good and also plenty of bathroom supplies. Would return to stay again.

Dirty room
I would not recommend this hotel. We just got here today and I found full of dirt around the room. I saw some curly hair around the table and on the top of the bed. It's very gross! I don't trust this hotel at all. Do not be believe what other people say about how good this hotel is. I travel a lot and this is probably the dirtiest place I have seen so far. I took a couple of pictures on how dirty this room is. I'm very surprised that some people gave them good reviews.

Stay with every penny well spent
Hotel room is clean, neat and tidy upon arrival. Check-in after midnight without any delay or problem. Staff is super friendly and helpful upon all kinds of request. Definitely will visit again next trip.

Decent stay, but many housekeeping issues
The property can be reached via subway Line 2 or Line 3 to the Euljiro3-ga station. Come out of Exit 9, and head straight into the alley that you see on your right. Hotel Bene will be on your left in the alleyway. The chicken restaurant right across from it only opens at night, but it's got the best tasting roasted chicken dishes ever!
We got the premier room which had one twin bed and one double bed, so it was relatively roomy by Korean hotel room standards. You only get one room key, so it was inconvenient when one family member wants to go out, but you need that room key to stay in its wall slot to ensure that all the lights and air con remain on. The washroom/shower combo glass walls might not look like they are transparent in the photos, but you can see everything when the light is on in the bathroom. We resorted to leaving the bathroom light off whenever one of us is using the bathroom or showering, but even then, you can still see a lot. Keep that in mind if you don't want any awkward moments!
The front desk staff and the cafe staff where you get your breakfast sandwiches and drinks are all very nice and friendly. It doesn't matter that you have more than 2 people staying in a room, you will only get 2 sandwich/drink sets. The housekeeping though was a true disappointment during our 5 nights stay.
The first night we arrived, I flipped up the toilet lid to find a used condom sitting in the toilet bowl. There was a lot of dust on the window sills and ledges. The corners of the room hadn't been swept and you can see random hairs and dust bunnies. One of the pillow cases had a stain on it. I put that pillow aside right by the front door so that housekeeping would change it. Everyday that we got back, for two stays straight, they put the pillow back as is on the bed. I finally stripped that pillow case and threw it in with the dirty bath towels.
The first day, they only made one bed, and left the other unmade. The second day, they made both beds. The third and following days, they didn't bother making either bed. None of the pillowcases and sheets were changed during our stay. We had three people in the room. One day, they gave us one bath towel and many hand towels. The next day, we would find three bath towels, and not so many hand towels. The day after, we would get two bath towels, and not so many hand towels, and it went on like this. It was truly random how they did things.
I also found out during our stay that the front desk controls the heating/air con unit. For two nights, I called down to tell them that it was way too hot in the room, and we were told that they had turned the temperature down, but it only seemed to get hotter every time I called. Finally, on the third night, there was someone at the front desk who spoke fluent English, and he was the one who finally told me that they had activated the air con controls on the remote so that we can turn it on. None of the other front desk personnel had mentioned this important info when I called previously.
Although the staff that we dealt with was nice, and the room did its job for our stay, we probably won't use this hotel again. The see through glass bathroom walls and the lack of effort from housekeeping are a deal breaker.

Affordable stay
We took an early flight into Seoul and reached the hotel around 11, too early for the check in at 2, but the hotel management sped things up and allowed us to check in at 12pm at the cost of the cleanliness of the room, the room was a little dirty with lots of hair on the floor but the next few days were cleaner.
The deluxe room was pretty spacious with room for 2 large luggages and room to still walk.
I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Bene but there were quite a bit of hiccups as they only provided 1 body towel and I had to frequently head to the lobby to request for an additional towel even when I had highlighted the problem to the recep that there were 2 of us residing, and therefore required 2 towels! Out of the 10 nights I stayed there, I went down at least 5-7 times to request for a towel! We stayed at the deluxe room with a double bed, it should have been obvious and sensible to have provided 2 body towels.
Nevertheless, it was a great stay and I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wishes to stay near myeongdong (15m walk) at a very affordable price. It is also conveniently located near Exit 9 of Euljiro-3 ga and about 500m walk to the airport euljiro-2ga limousine bus stop. I would return again.
