Best B&B in the Montford Historic District

Such a lovely, quiet place to stay and relax! Everything was absolutely perfect and the breakfast was delicious! Bedding was super comfortable and the room was very clean! They say location is everything and this gem is in the middle of the most walkable neighborhood of the Montford Historic District with beautiful, historic homes everywhere. We even had three wonderful restaurants nearby too!

What a kind thing to say, especially about Montford. Dan and I chose this neighborhood on purpose: it's a district with more than 600 homes listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and you can walk past blocks of them and still be about a mile from downtown Asheville. Our own house dates to 1905, so we're part of that streetscape rather than looking out at it.
The quiet you mention is one of the reasons guests find us. Montford sits just off the main roads, and evenings here are genuinely still.
I'm glad the room met your standards for clean — we don't rush turnovers, and it means a lot when someone notices. As for breakfast, that's the part of the day I look forward to most, so thank you.
Come back and see us. There are more than three restaurants worth walking to, and I'd happily point you toward the rest.

Terriffic, Terriffic, Terriffic!

Diane and Dan were exceptional hosts! Very evident from the small details around the B & B. Umbrellas, picnic blankets by the door for The Luminere at the Biltmore, homemade snacks and so many more. The location was convenient to downtown with several restaurants within walking distance. The atmosphere was very inviting. We stayed in the Garland and Eunice Wible room. The bed was comfortable with quality linens and pillows. The bathroom was very spacious . The clawfoot tub was a great way to relax at the end of the day. This inn is a terrific value which included a gourmet breakfast daily! Diane is a terrific cook! We will definitely be returning to The Pinecrest Inn!

Thank you — this made our morning. I'm so glad the small things registered, because they're the part we fuss over most: the umbrellas by the door, the picnic blankets we keep stocked for guests heading to Lumière at Biltmore, and the afternoon snacks that come out of my kitchen.
The Wible Suite earns its reputation for exactly the reasons you name — the clawfoot tub, the unusually spacious bathroom, and linens we don't cut corners on. And you're right about the location: Pinecrest Bed & Breakfast sits in Montford, an easy walk to downtown Asheville restaurants and 3 miles from Biltmore Estate.
Breakfast is cooked from scratch every morning, and it's the thing guests mention most, so I was especially glad you noticed.
Dan and I would love to have you back in the Wible Suite — or to introduce you to one of our other four rooms next time.

1905 Charm + 2026 Hospitality - Perfection!

Stayed here on a recent trip to Asheville, and it was exactly the authentic, personal experience I was hoping for. The 1905 property is lovingly maintained. Photos of my room brought wows from friends and family. Victorian details, done just right.
Breakfasts were spectacular.
But the best part was Diane and Dan, warm, gracious, and full of great local tips.
Five stars isn't enough, recommend!

Amazing experience!

I highly recommend Pinecrest bed and breakfast! The owners are warm and friendly and think of everything before you even ask for it. The breakfast is wonderful as well. We'll be back!!

We’re coming back!

Great location, lovely property. Easy walk through beautiful historical neighborhood to Downtown and the South Slope. Also the Asheville Tourist Ballpark! Delicious breakfast. Would definitely stay again.
