Intentionally double charge people for breakfast and horrible customer service
Booking experience:
Before finalizing the reservation, I called the hotel directly to explain that this was a gift for my parents. I asked if I could authorize my credit card so they wouldn’t need to provide one at check‑in. I was told yes, completed the authorization form that was emailed to me while on the phone, and confirmed it was received. I was assured my parents would only need their IDs at check‑in and that all charges would go to my authorized card.
At booking, I was given three rate options:
Best Available Rate: $161
Honors Breakfast Included Rate: $191
2x Points Rate: $178
I intentionally selected the Honors Breakfast Included rate, paying $190.12 plus $19.96 in taxes, for a total of $210.08, specifically because breakfast was included.
Issues during arrival:
I stopped by earlier in the day to decorate the room as a surprise. Despite the authorization being on file and the room already paid for, I was asked to provide a card because a manager was not present. This directly contradicted what I was told during booking and raised concerns about how check‑in would have been handled if my parents didn’t have a card with them. Clearer procedures and communication are needed.
Billing issues after checkout:
After my parents checked out, I received a folio showing an additional breakfast charge, even though I paid for the breakfast‑included rate. When I called to have this corrected, the interaction with staff (Mya and Asia) was extremely unprofessional. Rather than listening or reviewing my reservation details, they immediately dismissed my concerns and disputed my explanation.
As a result, I contacted Hilton customer support directly. Hilton reviewed the reservation history and confirmed that the hotel had changed my rate in their system — not once, but twice after the original booking. This appeared to be done to justify the additional charge, despite my original confirmation and payment for the breakfast‑included rate.
Had I known breakfast would not be honored, I would have selected the cheaper rate. This situation was unnecessary and avoidable.
While the hotel itself is nice, the customer service, handling of billing, and lack of transparency were extremely disappointing — especially for a special occasion. I would strongly recommend that guests carefully review their folio and reservation details if booking here.

Nice people, rooms are average
The AC in my room was so loud I had to change rooms. There was hair in the bathroom in both of the rooms I stayed in. Beds were comfortable. Enjoyed having a coffee maker in the room. Breakfast was chaos but the server was nice and trying her best.

I would not stay there again
When we checked in, the front desk agent told us they had given our room to someone else. He spent a long time looking for another room while being rude and dismissive throughout the interaction. Eventually, he told us he was putting us in a suite.
Unfortunately, the "suite" was anything but an upgrade. The room had a terrible odor, the air conditioner was extremely loud, there were crackers left inside the pull-out sofa bed, the window was so dirty it was difficult to see outside, and the bathroom had almost no counter space. I'm still not sure what qualified it as a suite other than having two televisions.
We asked to be moved and were given a standard room instead. While it didn't have the same odor, it came with its own problems. The air conditioner was so loud it woke us up throughout the night. The bathroom offered virtually no privacy because every sound could be heard throughout the room. The ice bucket was filthy, with chunks of dried food stuck to the inside of the lid.
The pool area was also dirty and poorly maintained. In fact, the entire hotel feels outdated and worn. There was an unpleasant smell throughout the building, and instead of addressing it, the hotel seemed to be masking it with an overpowering artificial vanilla fragrance that made the experience even worse.
The most frustrating part of our stay was that we paid for Friday night specifically so our room would be available when we arrived Saturday morning, yet the hotel gave our reserved room to another guest. Combined with the poor customer service, lack of cleanliness, excessive noise, and outdated condition of the property, this was one of the most disappointing hotel stays we've experienced. I would not stay here again and cannot recommend it.
