Extremely accommodating!!!

HANANE, the sweet young lady at the front desk was so helpful and extremely patient with me as she helped me find the perfect room for me to see the 4th of July fireworks! It’s a very busy weekend but HANANE still was extremely friendly and accommodating and staff like her is why I love my HILTONS!!!

Thank you for your wonderful feedback! We are thrilled to hear that Hanane made your Fourth of July stay such a memorable one.
Providing exceptional hospitality during one of the busiest weekends of the year is no small task, and we're delighted that Hanane's patience, friendliness, and dedication helped you find the perfect room to enjoy the fireworks. She truly embodies the spirit of Hilton hospitality by making every guest feel valued and cared for.
We will be sure to share your kind words with Hanane and our leadership team. Recognition like yours means so much to our team, and we know she will be honored to hear the positive impact she had on your experience.

Fine, At First

We booked a one bedroom suite and it was fine, at first. It was on the third floor, which had more foot traffic than other floors and near the elevators (although we did not hear much noise).
The real issue we had was a smoke detector that was mounted outside of the bathroom that would go off anytime someone showered (no idea why). The bathroom was also not vented (at all) which exacerbated the smoke detector issue and lead to other smelly situations. I informed management about this when we checked out and I do not know if it was remedied.
The roof top bar is a hidden gem and has a lovely view of the city. The hotel is in an awkward location, but is great for walking across the river to Harvard.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed several aspects of your stay, including your one-bedroom suite, the rooftop bar, and our convenient location for visiting Harvard and exploring the Charles River area.
At the same time, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by the smoke detector and ventilation issues you experienced. We understand how frustrating it must have been to have the alarm activated during routine use of the bathroom, and we appreciate you bringing this matter to our attention at checkout. Feedback such as yours is invaluable, as it helps us identify opportunities to improve both our facilities and the guest experience.
We are glad that you found your suite comfortable overall and that noise was not an issue despite the location near the elevators. We're also delighted that you discovered our rooftop bar and enjoyed the views it offers.
Thank you again for sharing your experience. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future and provide an even more seamless stay.
Warm regards,

The hotel is older and the paint was peeling in several places in the room. You will also need to pay for parking. The staff was friendly and helpful when we had questions. The room was clean and it was located near the event I was attending so it was convenient.

Overall good hotel with a major caveat

Let me start off my review by saying that this hotel is overall fantastic. It has a colorful-yet-modern lobby, comfortable rooms, and somewhat friendly staff (shoutout to Patricia in the breakfast area). The riverview suite was a fantastic location to watch the 4th of July fireworks from the bedroom window and was super spacious, with a good-sized bedroom and a living room with a large couch and a television. The couch also had a pullout bed that could accommodate two additional people. Rooms were quiet, there's parking (for a price), and it's near the Harvard Business School (not to be confused with Harvard's main campus in Cambridge). The AC also worked very well in the lobby, which we appreciated, as we were staying here during a major heatwave. The elevator was also really cool - the back wall was glass, so we got to look out and watch the floors pass by.
Now on to the downside. We went to have dinner in the hotel before the fireworks, and they were slammed because everyone was here to watch the fireworks and avoid the thunderstorms. There was one waitress plus someone behind the bar, so it took a long time to order and receive our food (not the waitress's fault!), and there was a line of people waiting for a table. It looked like the dinner restaurant was in the bar, which was puzzling - I don't know why they didn't offer dinner in the same place as breakfast and lunch, since that place could accommodate more people. We ordered dinner, everything eventually arrived, and we ate. My husband's buffalo wings were not originally brought out, and he had to remind our waitress that he had ordered them. At the end of the meal, we decided to order dessert to go and eat it in our room while watching the fireworks, and this was a saga. We ordered dessert at 9:30 PM (the kitchen closed at 10:00 PM, and at 10:00 PM, we still hadn't gotten our dessert. We had already paid, since we wanted to make it back to our room for the fireworks, so we were just waiting. Our waitress went to the kitchen twice to see what was going on, but didn't get a clear answer from them, either. After another ten minutes, they told us that they were out of dessert, which was surprising, since they had already charged us for three dishes. While we were talking to the manager, a server came out with dessert, except the ice cream was melted and the wrong flavor (they gave us vanilla even though we asked for chocolate). They offered to take the desserts off our bill but ended up charging us twice: once for the full amount, and once for the amount without the dessert. The entire experience was baffling - if you run out of dessert, then just say so and don't charge us for it. If you do have dessert, then why would it take forty minutes to be delivered? The manager also called my father-in-law rude.

Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed review. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed many aspects of your stay, including our spacious river view suite, comfortable accommodations, colorful lobby, and convenient location near Harvard Business School. We're especially pleased that you were able to enjoy the Fourth of July fireworks from your room and appreciate your kind recognition of Patricia in the breakfast area.
At the same time, we sincerely apologize for the disappointing dining experience you encountered on what was an exceptionally busy holiday evening. While increased demand can create challenges, the delays, communication issues, incorrect dessert order, billing errors, and the interaction you described with management are not reflective of the level of service we strive to provide. We understand how frustrating it must have been to spend valuable time waiting for dessert while trying to return to your room to enjoy the fireworks.
Your feedback regarding staffing levels, order fulfillment, communication from the kitchen, and the billing discrepancies is extremely valuable and will be shared with our Food & Beverage and leadership teams for review. We are committed to learning from experiences like yours so that we can improve both our operations and the overall guest experience during high-demand events.
We truly appreciate your balanced feedback and your recognition of the many positive aspects of your stay. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back and provide the seamless experience you expected and deserve.
Warm regards,

There for World Cup excitement and hotel was full of kilts.
Brilliant hotel with spacious rooms. Because we were travelling from city to city we didn’t want to empty cases and there was plenty of room for two open cases in the rooms and it didn’t impact the space at all.
They were also so helpful when I left behind some of our possessions when we had to leave in a hurry.
What a difference these things make, very helpful and pleasant staff. Wish all hotels were like this one.
Thanks
Carol
