All was great except the housekeeping: one day I wasn't given clean towels and the next day I got no housekeeping service. But at checkout I was given a discount to make up for it.

The old A/C system and controls need to be updated.
There is only one ice machine for the entire hotel.
The in-room refrigerators do not work.

Really not good. I don’t think I’ve ever reviewed a hotel before but this was bad (and I travel frequently for work). The WiFi didn’t work, the cable was constantly in and out, and then the a/c in my room went out at midnight. I called downstairs and someone came up and brought me keys to a new room but didn’t offer to help me move despite there being stairs in my room. I accidentally left a pair of shoes in the original room and of course they were magically no longer there when housekeeping went to look for them. Then of course the communal espresso machine (where you pay for coffee) was broken. Never again.

No Air Conditioning

The air conditioning does not work in many rooms here and they will put you in one of them anyway. I was put in a room that was 87 degrees and they had a cheap portable air conditioner duck taped to the window. Don’t stay here!

Okay, but a little janky

We stayed in Boston for one night for a friend’s birthday party along with 8 other couples. This place was okay, but a little janky. Only one of two elevators was working so it always took us forever to get from the ground floor to our room and back. The room was comfortable, but a little worse for wear: the bathroom sink was clogged, the windows looking out onto Quincy Market were filthy, and the glass on the bathroom door looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time.
The Bostonian wouldn’t be my first choice for our next trip to Boston. I’d rather stay further away from the heart of the tourist crush and/or pay a bit more for a property in better condition.

Pet Policy We ask that your pets occupy the same room, weigh less than 25 pounds and are not left in the room unsupervised. Upon arrival, guests will be charged a non-refundable $75 pet fee. Additional cleaning fees may result if Housekeeping deems it necessary.
