My room was clean, the staff professional and friendly, and breakfast fresh and good. Parking was ample.

Hilton Tru was midrange but decent

It was my first time ever staying at a Hilton Tru. I stayed here for one night I was attending a concert nearby at the Haw River Ballroom. The Hilton Tru was sort of like a cross between a Microtel and a Hampton Inn. Even though the room was tiny there were some things I really liked about the room. The shower and the bathroom had good water pressure. The AC worked well and I liked the cable selection. The bed was just okay. It is a European style bed with just a wooden bed frame and a mattress. There is no box spring. My complaint is the wooden bed frame. It is easy to bump into the corner of the bed frame. It was fine for me but if you're older you need to be careful not to injure yourself especially at night. Overall the good things about the room outweighed the bad things.
I did get on the treadmill and it was a nicely appointed small gym. The lobby has a pool table and a tv set. It was definitely trying to appeal to younger generations similar to an Aloft. I did try the breakfast and the robot pancake machine was cool and germ free. I will say the pancake itself was missing a little "love energy' but not bad. If you want a romantic getaway with your partner I may suggest staying at a Hampton Inn or Hilton Garden Inn. If you're traveling with kids or just need a place to crash this might be a fine option. I really liked the selection of snacks in the lobby. The staff were helpful and friendly. Overall this was perfect for going to a concert nearby. I would stay here again it was new and clean.

Super nice staff!

The staff is wonderfully nice. I stay here quite often for work and everyone is so welcoming! Brenda is the best at breakfast. Always cheerful, always helpful, and just a joy to see and catch up with when I’m there! I travel a lot for work and the staff at this hotel are the nicest of anywhere I stay. You will feel like you’re part of the family when you stay here!

Great Experience

Having stayed here for the past 4 years this Tru will not disappoint you. Super clean rooms, friendly staff, comfortable beds and a good breakfast served with a smile and a hello from Brenda. The entire staff from the front desk to custodians and hotel keeper will also great you with a hello and a smile. Always felt like my home away from home.

Upon arrival at 10pm, we were informed that our reservation (made 2 weeks earlier through hotels.com) had been canceled because the hotel was fully booked. We had gotten no notification of this; in fact, hotels.com had just sent an email asking how check-in went (and another 2 days later asking g for a review of our stay). We were stuck in Burlington, NC at 10pm with no place to stay, despite having already been charged for 2 nights. The clerk, Miesha, was tremendously helpful and patient. She said she had tried twice to inform Expedia Corp. of the cancellation, but got no response. While we waited, she attempted to contact them again, and also called nearby hotels to inquire about vacancies. It took nearly 2 hours to find a hotel with a vacancy, and we finally got a call back from hotels.com at 11:30pm, offering to "relocate" us (obviously too late for that!). After 45 min on the phone with "John," who was clearly calling from his home, we secured a refund for one night and a rotation to a different hotel in a different town for the next night. I had to ask for compensation for our significant hardship, and was offered only a few hotels.com points for me next booking!
Miesha was great, Hotel Tru looked great, and we thank them for letting us use their lobby to find another hotel. But unfortunately we did not stay there, so are unable to provide a full review.
