My absolute go-to for out-of-town family!
As a local, I recently hosted a family reunion and needed to book three rooms at TownePlace Suites for my family members who couldn't quite fit at my house. We’ve used this hotel before with great results, so I had high hopes they’d deliver again—and they totally did!
My cousins and their kiddos stayed at TownePlace, and it was a perfect fit for everyone. The kids loved the indoor pool and they were so excited about the DIY Belgian waffle maker at breakfast every morning. For the adults, having a really nice, well-maintained gym and a super clean first-floor laundry room made it easy for everyone to get their early AM workouts in and keep up with the kids' clothes.
All three rooms were incredibly clean, as was the entire property, and every interaction we had with the staff was incredibly positive. My personal favorite feature had to be the great outdoor patio spaces, which were the perfect spot for us adults to unwind and catch up in the evenings. From start to finish, the stays were flawless. This is officially my go-to spot whenever family and friends come to town!

Exceptional Stay for Our U of M Football Weekend!
Our family stayed in one of the two-bedroom suites at TownePlace Suites in Canton, Michigan for the weekend while in town for the University of Michigan football game, and we couldn’t have been happier. The hotel felt warm, welcoming, and perfectly accommodating for a family getaway.
Our suite was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable. The in-room kitchen was a huge plus, making it easy to store snacks and drinks during our stay. The outdoor patio areas were beautifully maintained and perfect for relaxing in the evening.
Each morning started with great coffee and a calm, inviting atmosphere in the lobby. Every detail reflected the hotel’s commitment to cleanliness and guest comfort.
We truly enjoyed our weekend and would absolutely stay here again. TownePlace Suites in Canton is an excellent choice for anyone visiting the area—whether for a game, a family trip, or a relaxing weekend away.

My assigned room had chunks of carpet missing. The doorframes were chipped and worn. The room didn’t appear to have been dusted in quite a while. The bathroom floor needed to be cleaned. There was an old molded coffee filter and grounds in the coffee pot. The refrigerator didn’t work and the front closet had a bunch of exposed wall anchors and missing shelves. Lastly, the wall nearest the window had suspicious dripping stains (disgusting). In all, not the greatest stay for the price. This hotel needs a major deep clean on the rooms and a repaint and carpet replacement as well.

Staff was kind, breakfast was good. Only complaint is the stains on the carpet and on the fitted sheet.

Breakfast was great. Beds were clean. Bath towels were up to par. Rest of the room was dirty. Dirty mirrors, scum built up on shower shelfs, gross looking roll of paper towel at kitchenette, old rag towel for dishes there too, and no dish soap or soap for that area. Toilet paper holder was broke and wall mount was coming off. Spoons in the drawer did not look sanitized. Dirty, dusty looking floors and dusty shelves and counter tops. This looked more like someone's living room than a nice clean hotel room ready for the next paying customer. Maybe this room just needs an upgrade on the floors and a bit deeper clean. Staff was very kind and friendly.
