An absolute gem!

Such a fantastic place to stay. The accommodation is spotless, the owners are super friendly, the fire pits, corn hole and outdoor seating are a really nice touch. This was our 2nd stay and we will be back. The location is perfect for so much! Hiking, water sports, breweries, sight seeing, and not to mention the fish hatchery. Great spot to take a hike on the PCT too. We walked into town and had dinner and drinks at Thunder Island brewing, which is a must. A true Oregon gem to stay at this fantastic motel and undoubtedly the best accommodation in the area. Such thoughtful, hard working owners, who ensure everything is clean, tidy and enjoyable.

Highly recommended for a few reasons.
Nobody is above or below you, and only two of the cabins are adjoined by a common wall that is separated by a storage room. Otherwise, most are stand alone canins. Translated: QUIET rooms and privacy is appreciated.
By far the cleanest bathroom and general room cleanliness. Ever.
Areas that could use a little attention:
The carpet could have used a little maintenance steam clean, but overall it was well vacuumed, in resoectful shape, and the property was simply a wonderful option.
Only units with a kitchen are allowed to use the BBQ. That needs to change. If folks don't have a kitchen (only a couple cabins), they should be required to use disposable dinnerware and utensils. No rinsing in bathroom sinks. Problem solved.

This was a great place to stay when exploring the Columbia River Gorge. The cottages were cute, clean, and comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommend staying here.

The JEWEL of Cascade Locks

Have reviewed this TWICE but neither review is showing up, WHY? Guess I'll try again...
Anyway, this is truly the JEWEL of Cascde Locks. Impecibly clean and well maintained, a rarity. I am retired from the travel industry and we have stayed in 100's of accomodations globally and can comfortably say, this is without a doubt THE cleanest and well maintained place we've ever stayed! Even the blinds were clean and dusted, AMAZING! The motel is in a quiet neighborhood. The beds are comfortable, the vintage fixtures and furniture are lovely AND clean, beds are comfortable and the carpet is spotless. The grounds are loveingly maintained with a fire pit, corn hole game, chairs around the fire pit to relax plus beautiful large trees and colorful flowers. IF ONLY other places were like this!
(Yes, taller toilets would be great)
If you're in the area, give yourself a treat and stay at this lovely quaint motel, you won't be sorry.
We'll be returning and staying longer next time. Thanks again for a great visit!

A lovely surprise!

My husband and I love this place! We have always stayed in the local Best Western, but couldn't get the dates we wanted, so found this gem, and fell in love! I only wish we were able to stay more than two nights, so we could have enjoyed the cute and well equipped little kitchen! The cottages are all different, but the one we stayed in was perfect for us. Comfortable, with a living room, bedroom, kitchen, plenty of comforts and very lovely managers, who were great and helpful. I highly recommend these cottages (motel doesn't really do it justice).
