Very noisy AC units that will keep you up all night.
After a couple of more hours, the room warmed up, we turned the AC back on, and hoped the noise would not come back. Unfortunately, it did come back and we spent the remainder of the night turning off and on the AC - balancing between a cooler room and noise. This of course, resulted in a night with very little sleep for all of us.
The next morning upon checkout, the front desk lady asked how everything was. I replied that it was all very good, except for one thing…to which she cut me off, replying, “except for the loud noise from the AC?”
I was shocked and asked her how she knew that! She replied that all of the rooms have noisy AC units due to the remodel. I expressed my disappointment that a company would KNOWINGLY rent out rooms with loud AC units that would disrupt their customer’s rest. I then stated that the person at check in should give the customer the common courtesy to at least prepare the customer for the unusually noisy night by informing them of this issue up front. The employee was very unempathetic with the situation, only replying that all the units are noisy.
I did not push the issue any further. It appeared that it was just a “matter of fact” that all the rooms have noisy AC units and it simply is what it is.
I did reach out to Hilton corporate and to the hotel owners, weeks later, I still have not heard anything back. So, while the hotel is clean, newly remodeled, and in a good location, I would not stay here if you like to sleep - unless of course you are a SUPER HEAVY sleeper and can sleep through anything at all.
