The room had the most important things: Clean, crisp sheets; clean bathroom with good water pressure in the shower. The aesthetic is fairly dated and the room (even bathroom) is overall very dim. The bathroom has only a curtain, not a door and there is no door on the toilet closet. Not ideal. The walls are quite thin. We could hear people in other rooms. No hair dryer was provided in the room. Check in/out is in the casino around the corner. Staff were nice, room was clean.

A saving grace for our room was the dark decor and dim lighting. On the plus side the sheets and towels were clean. However we found the entry door frame badly damaged as if it had been kicked in. The bathroom vanity false drawer face came off in my hand as it had already been broken and simply set in place. No toiletries. No toilet room door. Overall it was underwhelming and overpriced.

Room was clean but ended up the ac went out and I do believe they knew just miss communication on their part and did not take that room out of commission. The casino comped us $200 of free play but it was very hot the first night and with a box fan they gave us it helped the next night with leaving the back door open (we were upstairs) with the fan. Was a little weird not having an actual door for the bathroom part and would have liked to have that. That being said, it is a historic hotel with lots of character.

Nice room, nice people, but air conditioning wasn’t working and no one seemed able to do anything about it. We had to listen to busy roads all night in an attempt to cool the room.

Nice little boutique property. Only reason not a 5 is that the nearest public beach (Kings Beach) is just over a mile away. Was hoping for closer.
But rooms and staff were great.
