Lovely home, peaceful atmosphere

The Pines of Dresden was the perfect stop in the middle of a long drive around the state of Ohio on Memorial Day weekend. Innkeeper Allison greeted us in the parking lot and escorted us into her beautiful home. Our Cardinal room was lovely and well decorated and comfortable. There were two queen size beds which were more than we needed, but gave us plenty of space to spread out. I believe all of the rooms have at least two beds. Allison answered all of our questions, including giving directions for a nice walk in the evening. We especially enjoyed sitting on the beautiful screened in porch and chatting with other guests in the evening. The back yard is large and offers several seating areas, including benches, gliders, and swings. A gazebo in the back yard looks like a great place to sit in the summer, with a ceiling fan and mosquito netting all around. Breakfast was also lovely, and very filling. Hours included German Apple pancakes, sausages, fruit salad and scrambled eggs, plus coffee, orange juice and water. The resident cat, Oreo, is friendly and accommodating for petting. All In all, it's a Pines provided a lovely quiet and relaxing overnight stay. One caution: the house is on a hill, so getting from the parking lot into the house may be difficult for people with mobility issues. There's also a very steep stairway to the second floor, so some may wish to request a first floor room.

Host was friendly. Property was beautiful. Room was clean. Mattress needs to be updated. Highly recommend.

Our hostess, Allison, was wonderful. Her hospitality was second to none. The room was quite comfortable and the grounds were beautiful with all the flowers ,herbs , and trees,in addition to the gazebo, swings and porch to enjoy the quiet nature. We would definitely recommend The Pines!!

The Best Bed and Breakfast Inn

This is the best BB we’ve ever stayed at. We had such an enjoyable time with our friends and other guests. The salmon dinner and breakfast were delicious ~ no kidding. Loved this 1836 historic home and all its amenities. I could go on and on! And Allison has a great sense of humor. Thank You for giving us such a lovely experience!

We had a wonderful stay, quaint, warm, inviting and homelike atmosphere, every detail has been handled by the owner. I have stayed here a couple times, and every time has been a perfect experience.
